Historia
Producer Jack Quick knows how to frame a story. So says Curtis Wade, the subject of Jack's new true crime docuseries, convicted of a young woman's murder four years prior. In the eyes of Jack's viewers, flimsy evidence and police bias influenced the final verdict...even though, off screen, Jack himself has his doubts. But when the series finale is wildly successful, a retrial sees Curtis walk free. And then another victim turns up dead.

Historia

Now, contemplating retirement after years on the job, Tully is faced with perhaps his most perplexing case yet. When area bald eagles start getting picked off by a ghost-like killer, and when a prominent local rancher is murdered by an arrow with eagle fletching, things gets complicated fast. In this fast-paced whodunit, Tully has a vast array of suspects to choose from, including the rancher's gorgeous, bird-loving wife, who mysteriously leaves for a ranch in Mexico the day of the murder.

so sorry
Revisado: 09-03-24
This series has been breath of fresh air. I've enjoyed the well developed characters. They began to feel like friends that could be found almost anywhere in rural USA. The lack of course language is rare these days and is much appreciated. I recommend this almost cozy (but no hokey) mystery series as a break from gritty murder mysteries. I'm sorry to see this series end.

Dalglies spun a pretty good tale. I did not expect the ending until the story was almost finished. To say much more would be a spoiler. Home Wrecker is worth a listen.

My words are not adequate to express the emotion and awe I felt as I listened to Darlene's experience on the mission field. Her faith in God Almighty is inspiring and truly humbling. So humbling! She makes me want to stand taller for Jesus! A more perfect narrator would be impossible to find.

Historia
Sam Hill always saw the world through different eyes. Born with red pupils, he was called “Devil Boy” or Sam “Hell” by his classmates; “God’s will” is what his mother called his ocular albinism. Her words were of little comfort, but Sam persevered. Sam believed it was God who sent Ernie Cantwell, the only African American kid in his class, to be the friend he so desperately needed. And that it was God’s idea for Mickie Kennedy to storm into Our Lady of Mercy like a tornado, uprooting every rule Sam had been taught about boys and girls. Forty years later, Sam, a small-town eye doctor, is no longer certain anything was by design.

Prepare for an emotional rollercoaster ride that touches deep into the feels. Though the story is fictional the characters are alive and reality floods the pages. The Extraordinarily Life of Sam Hell is an excellent read. It's possible we might all be better people for reading it.

Revisado: 06-28-24
Rarely do I take time to review books even when I enjoy them. This moving story is an exception extraordinaire. West With Giraffes is a wonderful story. It touches the reader deeply and is well worth the time it takes to read it. A more perfect narrator is not possible. Danny Campbell brought an already wonderful work to life. I cried, because it ended.

I've enjoyed each of the titles in this series. The characters and story are well developed, but Krueger's emphasis on illegal aliens crossing our bordersis a bit ad nauseum now that the illegal crossing has become an invasion not sanctuary seeking.

enjoble read but..
Revisado: 05-31-24
Krueger develops great characters and spins a good story. I've enjoyed the series, but he has progressively inserted more and more liberal agenda. I will complete the series and may even be sorry it's reached the end, but the liberal agenda has detracted from an otherwise engaging and enjoyable read.

tedious

Koontz spins a good yarn, but the narrator of this book made following the story line difficult. Her cadence was painfully off much of the time. She was confusing. A hard copy of this title would be the best choice.
