This author is terrible.
Revisado: 10-03-24
Too much to critique. First this guy should write love stories, it’s aggravating to call this anything else. The character is annoying. This author takes from different characters from other books to create Michael Talbot a morose belly-acher. He is supposed to be hundred of years old, but can’t learn from past experiences. The current age is of survival, but everyone is so morally pure, it moronic. I listened to half of this audio book and couldn’t take any more. This author is not in the class of Correa, Martin, or any of the great authors.

Somewhere in the toxic Bone Pits, where mechanical nightmares roam, an emaciated and wounded young wolf clings to life. Wracked with pain, driven by instinct, it crawls across the subterranean landscape, avoiding the unnatural horrors that dwell there and seeking sustenance while fending off rats, insects, and other vermin stalking it as prey.

Too slow to start, I couldn’t finish it.
Revisado: 05-11-24
What a yawner, it could be a great story line, but it develops way too slow. I just could not take listening to it any longer. I left it with three hours left, that’s how slow it is.

Terrible, boring, no plot.
Revisado: 04-20-23
I don’t know who wrote all of the reviews with high stars for this book. Don’t believe them. The story has no plot. It’s just people running stupidly from one place to another trying not to get eaten. I got to the third book of the set and still didn’t find out what the deal was with the storm creating the “Apocalypse”. No story line on why all of the werewolves were waiting for this event. I couldn’t take it anymore and stopped listening. What a piece of garbage. El Paso—

Historia
Centuries before a certain dungeon first met a wise pink wisp, the world was torn apart by war. For a time, even the Guild was shaken to its core as a wave of necromantic cultivators surged forth from the dark corners of the earth. Garron feels the impact of war differently than most, as a servant in the estate of a Mage that left for the war. The young lord Andros and his servant have been left in the tender care of the ambitious cultivator, Jackson.

I hate when a good author attaches his name to a terrible author. This story was HORRIBLE! I Want my credit back!
Revisado: 08-10-21
I never understood the story line. The main character was a weak goody goody who I was waiting to get killed off. Every character in the book tried to kill him. But he would not defend himself. No one likes the story line of a weakling. Rohan Hublikar, do us a favor and stick to reading books. Not writing them. Dakota please don’t put me through that again. Your other books are great. Did you lose a bet attaching your name to this stinker?

Terrible series
Revisado: 11-13-20
This series is lame. The main character is supposed to be a well educated, highly intelligent wizard, from a long and powerful line. The author even gave him a photographic memory. But Nate Temple’s (main character) primary trait is being a raging alcoholic. He constantly is being attacked or out manipulated and is never prepared, making the same mistakes over and over. And at the end of each book he miraculously overcomes. All six books have the same story line. Totally lame. I will not continue the series. I was just hoping the main character would get killed. The authors editor needs to have this guy change it up.

To convoluted.
Revisado: 11-30-18
This second book was spaced to far from the first. I couldn’t recall half of what happened in the first. You have three different storylines happening at once. It is not put together well. Very confusing. I couldn’t get into this story and left 5 hours unheard. In future writings this author needs to (1.) stick to two characters per book, (2.) release the books closer together. He doesn’t have the skill of Martin or Jordon.

Let down from his other series.
Revisado: 01-05-18
Had to struggle through this book. Riordan has been pushing homosexuality in his last few series of books, it seems to be the main theme of the books, not a true story line. We get it, and accept it but your books don’t have to be themed around it.

Not as good as I expected from Hearne.
Revisado: 11-03-17
This story started slow. To many story lines for one book. I could not keep track or stay interested in one character to hold my interest. I think he was shooting for a Game of Thrones angle and “screwed the pooch” on the finished product. I also did not care for the female narrator. Very disappointed in this series after the expectation from Iron Druid. The only way I will listen to the next one is if get it for free.

In this dark and gritty collection - featuring short stories from Jim Butcher, Seanan McGuire, Kevin J. Anderson, and Rob Thurman - nothing is as simple as black and white, light and dark, good and evil.... Unfortunately, that's exactly what makes it so easy to cross the line.

Don't waste a credit on the book.
Revisado: 08-29-17
I was excited to get this book because I saw Butcher's name on it. But I was sorely disappointed two chapters in. I honestly think the publishers slapped his name on it without his knowledge just to sell it!
I just could not get into any of the characters in the book. The narration was great. But not the stories. If you are going to listen to short stories you need to already know some of the back stories of the characters involved. Every story was like watching a movie 3/4 of the way through and trying to understand the plot at the end.
They were so bad I didn't finish the book. What a waste.
