awesome ride from start to finish

Definitely not my first book from this team, but it might be my favorite. Breaker is a great character with a cool cast of side characters. If you like the idea of good cops saving people and uncovering corruption, this is a great story, but it is made all the better by the scifi setting and exploration factor. I'm a huge fan of discovering strange new worlds and this scratches that itch.

If you've come this far, you know it's good. Pick it up and enjoy. This entry blew me away even more than the last five. Probably the best book since the first!

Hands down, best story I've seen all year. I read it first on kindle and then picked up the audio as soon as it released. Holy cow, the narrator knocked it out of the park. Great stuff, guys.

The story is good, the characters are great, and the conflict is intense. The fight scenes in the series are especially well done. Keep the action coming and bring on book 5!

To the Moon!

Scott Moon and JN Chaney are a great pair of writers, made all the better with Luke Daniels narrating. I loved this far flung exploration of the galaxy and a super unique concept. The idea of an Orphan was strange at first, but the more it went on the more sense it made. An Orphan is basically someone who goes through a portal device and ends up in this other region of the galaxy, so they're essentially "lost". They're also upgraded, so they have faster reflexes and enhanced strength and senses. This is such a weird and exciting concept that you just don't see very often, so I was intrigued right away. The story follows Murph, a scientist who is thrown into this device and sent across space, only to wind up on a wayward planet. He meets an alien giant that he befriends, along with several other allies, and together they have to fight an ominous threat while discovering more about these Oprhan Gates and the true purpose of what they all mean.

Very cool story and certainly unique. I recommend this if you're a stargate or Farscape fan like me. Can't wait for the next one.

It's been a while since I read a good military book. This one, written by two veterans, shows what happens when you actually put some love and care and experience into the writing. Rev is just a kid when the book starts, but he grows up fast. I'm excited to see where this series goes. Hopefully they put more out soon.

An incredible journey

Excellent book and a stellar performance. I am eagerly waiting for book 2. Been a huge fan of this trio. I also recommend Wayward Galaxy by Chaney and Jason Anspach. Great stuff.

Anspach and Chaney make the best cowriting team I've ever seen. You add RC Bray to the mix and it's a trio made in heaven. Great story. I hope there's a sequel.
