It could seem somewhat tedious at times, but seeing the growth of every character made it well worth the wait. At first the reader is entertained. Then “eyes are opened” to multiple applications for one very important lesson.

Family Relationships are Special

I liked the story line. I don’t share the faith (religious) values woven into the plot. Respect/acceptance of fellow man is wonderful but the idea that you can (in essence) become your own God detracted from my enjoyment of the book.

I didn’t want to stop listening to this book from start to finish. It moved through all the emotions of happiness, love, heartbreak, fear , redemption , joy , anger, hurt , hope and back again. I am so happy it ended as it did.

This is a book that does a great job of introducing characters and drawing the reader into a plot that spans two different worlds ! The first in the series definitely left me craving more. I felt as if I was a silent observer as the story unfolds and I step out of my day into the life of another.

I liked the history, the reading interpretation/narration , and the every moving story . I look forward to reading more books by Amy Harmon.
This one was a beautiful blend of nonfiction and fantasy as well as love and loyalty for family, friends, and country.
