Historia
Genghis Khan was born Temujin, the son of a khan, raised in a clan of hunters migrating across the rugged steppe. Shaped by abandonment and betrayal, Temujin endured, driven by a singular fury: to survive in the face of death, to kill before being killed, and to conquer enemies who could come without warning from beyond the horizon. Through a series of courageous raids, Temujin's legend grew until he was chasing a vision: to unite many tribes into one, to make the earth tremble under the hoofbeats of 1,000 warhorses, to subject all nations and empires to his will.

Historia
The second novel in the wildly popular First Law Trilogy from New York Times best seller Joe Abercrombie. Superior Glokta has a problem. How do you defend a city surrounded by enemies and riddled with traitors, when your allies can by no means be trusted, and your predecessor vanished without a trace? It's enough to make a torturer want to run - if he could even walk without a stick. Northmen have spilled over the border of Angland and are spreading fire and death across the frozen country. Crown Prince Ladisla is poised to drive them back and win undying glory.

Nobleman, dashing officer, and paragon of selfishness, Captain Jezal dan Luthar has nothing more dangerous in mind than fleecing his friends at cards and dreaming of glory in the fencing circle. The series continues to get better!
Revisado: 08-30-21
AC Cobble does a great job of bringing the characters to life. Since you get so invested in the characters, it makes it even more intense if something bad happens to them.
Also, the part where they go to the school was one of my favorite parts. It made me laugh. I’m really glad there’s another book left since there’s so much more to cover.
You should read it!!

So far so good!
Revisado: 08-26-21
I gotta say I really enjoyed the ending of this book, it has everything in a fantasy I like. Sometimes fantasy series don’t have interesting endings if it’s a book in the middle of a series. I’ll definitely be listening to the next one, and am interested to see how the ending plays out.

Too weak to confront Dion directly, Palemon turns to magic: mysterious copper chains from the lost civilization of Aleuthea, which have the potential to control dragons...and Dion.

Good but frustrating!
Revisado: 06-30-20
This is a great series except for the fact that some of the characters make decisions that are sooo frustrating. I’ll give an example below:
SPOILER
When Dion chose to willingly be captured and have the copper chain wrapped around his neck. Even if they have your wife, being captured prevents you from recovering her. It just doesn’t seem like something a rational person would do. There are so many different ways he could’ve handled that situation that didn’t include becoming enslaved. Maybe it’s just me but I almost stopped listening I was so annoyed.

Revisado: 04-13-20
The depth of the characters will draw you in right away. The bantering back and forth between characters really brings them to life. The story is also great, making it a great all around book.
I’m listening to them all again in preparation for Book 5 that recently came out. And I have only re-read a few book series, which is a testament to how good it is.

Historia
An 11-year-old boy's violated corpse is found in a town park. Eyewitnesses and fingerprints point unmistakably to one of Flint City's most popular citizens. He is Terry Maitland, Little League coach, English teacher, husband, and father of two girls. Detective Ralph Anderson, whose son Maitland once coached, orders a quick and very public arrest. Maitland has an alibi, but Anderson and the district attorney soon add DNA evidence to go with the fingerprints and witnesses. Their case seems ironclad.
