Great narration of captivating story
Revisado: 04-24-25
The versatility of Sandra Burr’s vocals. I like that she changed her voice to differentiate between characters.

When Chet the dog, "the most lovable narrator in all of crime fiction" (Boston Globe), and his human partner, PI Bernie Little, are approached by a down-and-out older man with a cardboard sign at an exit ramp, Bernie is shocked to discover the man is a former teammate from his high school baseball team. Chet and Bernie take Rocket out for a good meal, during the course of which Rocket refers to their class's prom queen, who supposedly vanished in a mysterious way.

Cher’s getting smarter!
Revisado: 12-28-24
The telepathy between Bernie and Chet is getting stronger, but Bernie is still a bit slow on the uptake. Too bad for him Chet still doesn’t speak human. LOL

Historia
Meet Ove. He's a curmudgeon - the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. People call him "the bitter neighbor from hell". But behind the cranky exterior there is a story and a sadness.

Any additional comments?
I very much enjoyed the book. The performance was perfect. A dog's first person perspective made the book very interesting. This book made me think of my dog and the dogs of my past in a good way.
