Historia
Jack Kelly remembers everything about his wife and children. The wonderful smell of his wife’s hair, the way she whispers to him at night. His three children running through the house, the sound of their laughter. That was his life before the accident. His near-death experience left him in the in-between space, somewhere between this world and whatever comes next. But he recovered and woke up as his 13-year-old self. The doctors tell him it is a false memory, a result of his fall and the insult to his brain from his injuries.

What more can you ask for? Kevin Moore's first book is a wild ride. There are so many things to like about it but my favorite is the duality theme that runs through the foundation of the book. There are some shocking moments in the book where I literally thought, "Oh wow, did he just go there?" and of course, Moore does go there. He has no fear. Fear brings on the shadows and you definitely don't want that! Absolutely, love this book. Also, the narrator does a great job capturing the scary, the vulnerable and the strength of the characters. Can't wait for the sequel...Book of Demons!
