Straight to the point
Revisado: 02-26-21
No regurgitated fluff. As an ABM, I can say that the tactics are quite legit (glad to learn nuggets I haven't heard/tried).
I appreciate the audacity to spend more time talking about direct mail than social...I'm sure the author got flak for it but it is a very legitimate thing. Very good book.
Performance was solid but kind of robotic.

Very good
Revisado: 02-23-21
I have to admit that when I had seen all of the PR & buzz about this book, I was expecting something revolutionary. To be sure, the book and performance are both great. The structure of the book and the system behind it are easy to listen to, easy to understand, and easy to deploy. I was expecting more Zig Ziegler, but maybe the understated simplicity is why it's so concise. All told, very good book.

Thought-out, articulate, and even emotional at times. The author/narrator performs the audio worthy of a standalone audiobook; not just a also-ran. Very well done.

Customers, followers, subscribers. It's easy to just look at the numbers. How many likes? How many purchases? How many email subscribers? But as entrepreneurs, we have to remember that there are people behind all that data. People who are looking to us to be a leader, to give advice, and to care. In this dog-eat-dog world, these are the people who are looking for someone who they can trust and who they know have their best interests in mind.

Big Meh
Revisado: 01-10-20
I'll keep this quick: the authors voice is like nails on the chalkboard by the end of the book, the info is fairly generic, but the worst is when he reads aloud Instagram comments.
Not a bad book, but I won't recommend it.

Must-listen for any boss
Revisado: 12-05-19
I have to admit, I was a little skeptical at first.
The "down to earth" (read: full of shit) title & subject matter (how many of these be a better boss books are there?) had my warning sirens going off.
But the writer had me hooked almost immediately with REAL down to earth parables, fantastic advice, and case studies for really tricky situations.
The voicing isn't amazing, but she's charming in her own way. You can tell when she feels strongly about something and when she says something her editor added/changed. It's a little clunky, but not bad.
Overall, this empowered me to tighten up on my millenial/gen y employees, and I couldn't be happier....THEY couldn't be happier--they're growing professionally.
