Historia
When Amos Decker is called to South Florida to investigate a double homicide, the case appears straightforward: A federal judge and her bodyguard have been found dead, the judge’s face sporting a blindfold with two eye holes crudely cut out, a clear sign that she’d made one too many enemies over her years on the bench. What at first seems cut and dry is anything but: Not only did the judge have more enemies than Decker can count—from violent gang members, drug dealers, and smugglers to a resentful ex-husband—but the bodyguard presents additional conundrums that muddy the waters even further.

Many twists and lots of surprises
Revisado: 12-07-22
I think Decker and White will make great partners. But Alex wants to come back. This was a great story but I think there are some questions unanswered . As always the moderators were perfect .

Historia
A year has passed since LAPD detective Renée Ballard quit the force in the face of misogyny, demoralization, and endless red tape. But after the chief of police himself tells her she can write her own ticket within the department, Ballard takes back her badge, leaving “the Late Show” to rebuild and lead the cold case unit at the elite Robbery-Homicide Division.

Last Bosch Book?
Revisado: 11-28-22
This was a great book. But I got the impression it may be the last Bosch book. There is no where for him to go unless he takes a case on his own. The story leads you to believe he is on his last legs. I thought the story in the book was great and did not give away the end except you knew Harry was going to to solve the cold case.

Too much “Praise the Lord”
Revisado: 06-06-22
My second Quinn Colson book and did not enjoy as much as the first because of the Jesus is behind everything. It is hard to believe a former stripper and drug user would come to her senses and ask her brother the sheriff for help sooner than she did. Was I the only person reading this book that thought Jamie Dixon lied about the money until the end. I am from the south but I thought the use of the N word was excessive. The first 60 per cent of this book was good and I will continue this series .

Historia
Quint Echohawk is a lawman, not a rancher, but he's a Calder through and through. And when someone sets out to undermine the Calders' Texas outfit, it's time for him to step in and investigate. From the moment Quint's boots touch Texas dirt, it's clear that everyone in town is running scared from Max Rutledge, the ruthless owner of a competing ranch. Posing as a cowboy looking for work, Quint has no one to trust but "Empty" Garner and his granddaughter, Dallas.

Great Book Terrible Book
Revisado: 07-01-20
Why did they use a narrator with a Scottish accent? I like this series but I hate the reader. She does not even try. Most narrators change their voices to fit the characters but her Scottish accent is always there. I really enjoy following the saga of the Caulder family.

Historia
Pete Banning was Clanton's favorite son, a returning war hero, the patriarch of a prominent family, a farmer, a father, a neighbor, and a faithful member of the Methodist church. Then one cool October morning in 1946, he rose early, drove into town, walked into the church, and calmly shot and killed the Reverend Dexter Bell.

Best in years
Revisado: 03-31-19
This was one of Grisham’s best books in years. The characters were people you really cared about and the ending was a real surprise. Pete Bannon’s decisions were troubling but understandable considering the life and conditions he endured during the war.
The research and detail in the book were remarkable but really added so much. Anyone who has given up on John Grisham should give this book a try.

Historia
Amos Decker witnesses a murder just outside FBI headquarters. A man shoots a woman execution style on a crowded sidewalk, then turns the gun on himself. Even with Decker's extraordinary powers of observation and deduction, the killing is baffling. Decker and his team can find absolutely no connection between the shooter - a family man with a successful consulting business - and his victim, a schoolteacher.

Best in the series

I like all of this author's books. However I thought this was one of the best. I really like this character and enjoy his growth into life from his previous tragedies. Hope there are more to come.
