Historia
On the slopes of Park City, Utah's newest ski resort, a woman is found dead. At first glance, it has all the makings of an accident. But what if she was murdered? Although skeptical, PI Sloane Monroe takes the case and learns not everyone is who they seem, and some will go to any lengths to protect their identity.

Historia
Larry Virgil skipped out on his latest court date after he was arrested for hijacking an eighteen-wheeler full of premium bourbon. Fortunately for bounty hunter Stephanie Plum, Larry is just stupid enough to attempt almost the exact same crime again. Only this time he flees the scene, leaving behind a freezer truck loaded with Bogart ice cream and a dead body—frozen solid and covered in chocolate and chopped pecans.

Stephanie Plum Burnout
Revisado: 11-22-16
What made the experience of listening to Turbo Twenty-Three the most enjoyable?
Knowing the cast of characters before the story even started.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Stephanie continues to battle with her emotions regarding Ranger and Morreli, as she does in every book of this series. Whereas I have matured since the first book was released some years ago, Stephanie has spent the same number of years emotionally adrift. Quite frankly, the stories are all melding together for me; one long ongoing saga where the primary characters remain the same, the setting is the same, the never-ending difficulties remain unchanged (cars blowing up, apartment broken into, near death escapes, etc.), it makes me feel as though I've heard it all before.
What does Lorelei King bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Lorelei King has become Stephanie Plum in my mind. To have anyone else narrate would be uncomfortable at this point.

Historia
We expect our judges to be honest and wise. Their integrity and impartiality are the bedrock of the entire judicial system. We trust them to ensure fair trials, to protect the rights of all litigants, to punish those who do wrong, and to oversee the orderly and efficient flow of justice. But what happens when a judge bends the law or takes a bribe? It’s rare, but it happens. Lacy Stoltz is an investigator for the Florida Board on Judicial Conduct. She is a lawyer, not a cop, and it is her job to respond to complaints dealing with judicial misconduct.

Too Many Characters
Revisado: 11-22-16
What did you love best about The Whistler?
John Grisham's knowledge of the legal system is an earned one, and lends credibility to his stories. Always a who-dunnit fan, I really enjoy his writings.
Would you recommend The Whistler to your friends? Why or why not?
There are so many characters to keep track of; one is referred to by his alias, then by his real name. I found myself having to replay chapters of the book so I could maintain a grasp on what was taking place and who was involved.
What does Cassandra Campbell bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Stamina. When I read, I get sleepy too quickly, making the actual reading of a book a lengthy affair.

Too many characters to keep up with
Revisado: 08-21-16
What disappointed you about Who Let the Dog Out??
There were so many characters introduced, at times, referred to by their first name, sometimes by their last name. It didn't take long for the story to become too hard to follow.
Would you be willing to try another book from David Rosenfelt? Why or why not?
Perhaps. As this was only the first story I had listened to by him, I'm always willing to give him another try
Did the narration match the pace of the story?
Yes
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
I liked the main character's sense of humor

For eight more years Pamela battled Dash's father, the legal system, their psychologist, the school system, and Dash himself to try and protect her son - first from his father, then from himself.

Heartbreaking, Eye-Opening, and Empowering!
Revisado: 11-04-13
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Absolutely! Any parent who has been a victim of Parental Alienation can not only relate to this story, but learn so much from the mother who stopped at nothing to maintain a relationship with her child despite the efforts of an ex-husband determined to destroy it.
Who was your favorite character and why?
This is a true story. There are no favorite "characters"
What about Julie Eickhoff’s performance did you like?
The narrator did an outstanding job of placing emphasis where it belonged - She could easily have been telling the story from her own experience.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, it is that engaging.
