Good book, terrible narrator

Not quite as good as the first one in the series, but almost. The narrator is even more anoying in this one than the last. Not only does he pronounc "sure" as "shore" for every character, but one of the main characters is called "Wolf", which the narrator prounounces "Woof" every time. There are 2 male and 2 female main charaters. Unfortunatly this narrator has only one male voice and one female voice, making it difficult to tell the characters apart frequently.
Despite his shortcomings, the book was very good.

Great book, bad narrator.

Great story. I couldn't stop listening, despite the bad narrator. The voice he uses for the main male charater, Bear, is SO slow that it's annoying. Also, anytime ANY charater says "sure", the narrator drawls out "shore". Ok, I buy one charater having an accent, but not ALL of them. Despite that, the story was enthralling.

Alternating narrators is annyoing, and while both are ok, neither is great. I have been reading the troubleshooter series in order, and so far, this is her weakest story. I could not really like the 'hero', Nash in this one. I much prefered Decker, his partner. For the first time ever, at the end, when the lead characters end up together, I found myself thinking, "Tess, don't be an IDIOT - run the other way!".

GREAT narrator!

One of the best narrators I've ever listened to. Great expression and humor in her voice. Very pleasing to listen to. The story is good - I enjoyed one of the back stories of Walter and Dot was as much as the primary story of Alyssa and Sam.
