I struggled to get through this due to the narrator's, especially the male. The timing and inflection was bad and it just made me cringe at times. I picked up a copy at the library to cover the male narrator chapters.

The narration though...

Compared to Jennifer Ikeda's performance in the original audio version, this full cast dramatization leaves you unsatisfied and wanting to listen to the original version. It is too bad; these dramatized versions can be great and truly entertaining but this cast does not do it for me. At least I have all of the original versions to fall back on :)

all the women sound snotty, men sound ultra feminine and nasal. I found myself skipping to the end and just being annoyed and irritated

The narrator was a big let down after being spoiled with Elizabeth Evans and Jennifer Ikeda. The book itself was amazing and fantastic, as expected. I cannot wait for more!~

terrible narrators, meh story

The accents in this title were super cringe worthy - cultural appropriation much!
The story was meh, the writing was meh
Melissa De La Cruz's writing seems to be heading towards 9th grade caliber as she pumps out simple tiny books for Disney and the like.
Overall a disappointment, but I will still read the next one - it is a sickness, I have to finish series

narration was dreadful

with so much French within the text, one would think the narrators should be able to have convincing accents of some sort. It made the entire world and atmosphere seem off and made it harder to really dig into the story. It was painful to listen to, I had to drag it out over many days...I will definitely read the next installment instead of listen to it.

good story, HORRIBLE narration

American history isn't as interesting or captivating for me, however, I was glad to be back in these characters world. Sadly, he narrator was absolutely unbearable. Her accents were atrocious, I had to stop listening 25% through when my book was delivered! Hoping that Jennifer Ikeda is available for the remainder of this series!

Major Narrator Problems

loved this book when I started reading it then I switched to audio and it ruined it. how did this GUY get the job of reading this book? Awful, screeching voices for the women and he made all of the men characters sound like they were 50 or 60 year old men....I had to go back to the Kindle version. This narrator is just so bad!
