It ran out.
Revisado: 06-07-21
I am not okay with it running out.
It's more goodness of the same kind as the first book and the third can't come out soon enough.

Historia
It’s not easy making the career jump from office-supplies-store middle manager to heroic interdimensional adventurer. At least, Jason tries to be heroic, but it's hard to be good when all your powers are evil. He’ll face off against cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters...and that’s just on the first day. He’s going to need courage, he’s going to need wit, and he’s going to need some magic powers of his own. But first, he’s going to need pants.

One of those books ❤️
Revisado: 05-14-21
One of those books that make you want to do chores because that's the only time you allow yourself to listen to it in order to not run out in a single week.

Shadiversity presents excellence.
Revisado: 07-16-20
Awesome work Shad, I'm very picky about internal consistency and your book was very enjoyable.
It was sometimes a bit info-dump-y im the beginning however and it felt like the "hero" only set out on their journey at the halfway point of the book.

Fantastic book, the only criticism is that there is no more on audible and reading manually can't be done while doing chores.

Fun but short story, talented but stilted narrator
Revisado: 07-26-19
Fun but short story with some explicit content.
Narrator talented, but seems to speak in a peculiar tilted way when narrating and speaking as the main character, pronouncing what I assume is "Horde" as "Hoard" for some reason.

Factfulness: The stress-reducing habit of carrying only opinions for which you have strong supporting facts. When asked simple questions about global trends - why the world's population is increasing; how many young women go to school; how many of us live in poverty - we systematically get the answers wrong. So wrong that a chimpanzee choosing answers at random will consistently outguess journalists, Nobel laureates, and investment bankers.

Historia
According to mythology, mankind used to live in 'The Tranquiline Halls': heaven. But then the Voidbringers assaulted and captured heaven, casting out God and men. Men took root on Roshar, the world of storms, but the Voidbringers followed. The Almighty gave men powerful suits of armor and mystical weapons, the Shardblades. Led by 10 angelic Heralds and 10 orders of knights known as Radiants, mankind finally won (or so the legends say).

No progression in the first 80%, exciting end.
Revisado: 04-05-19
The first four parts were downright glacial, with most of the pages being spent on every character navel gazing and angsting about past or future decisions and their own inability to do anything on and on for most of the book. Eventually I found that I was just not enjoying myself but it was better than nothing at work.
Fortunately the ending started to become exciting, but the entire book felt like a very stretched out origin story with minimal progression. Quite a bit of worldbuilding, which I love, but it was like the odd oasis in an ocean of philosophical pondering without conclusions or progression.
Hopefully the sequels will have more things actually happening.
