Historia
Eve Hatch lives for surprises! Just kidding. She expects every tomorrow to be pretty much the same as today. She loves her cozy apartment in Brooklyn that’s close to her childhood best friend Willa, and far from her midwestern, traditional family who has never really understood her. While her job is only dream-adjacent, it’s comfortable and steady. She always knows what to expect from her life . . . until she finds herself expecting after an uncharacteristic one-night stand.

It has it all!
Revisado: 03-07-24
This book is a true romcom. Romance and it’s funny. And the narrator Alex Finke is absolutely amazing. The book on its own is fantastic, but Alex makes the characters larger than life in the best way. It’s really like you’re there! I love this story. Cara Bastone wrote an incredible life journey. And instead of writing an ending, period, it’s over… things come together and you get to live in that world a while. Love it. You’ll be glad you listened to this book.

Historia
After Tova Sullivan’s husband died, she began working the night shift at the Sowell Bay Aquarium, mopping floors and tidying up. Keeping busy has always helped her cope, which she’s been doing since her eighteen-year-old son, Erik, mysteriously vanished on a boat in Puget Sound over thirty years ago. Tova becomes acquainted with curmudgeonly Marcellus, a giant Pacific octopus living at the aquarium. Marcellus knows more than anyone can imagine but wouldn’t dream of lifting one of his eight arms for his human captors—until he forms a remarkable friendship with Tova.

I didn’t want it to end!
Revisado: 03-05-24
This book has a delightful and unexpected character that I adore. And the story comes full circle with wonderful new beginnings at the end. I didn’t want it to end. I’m going to go look for other books by Shelby Van Pelt. It’s the perfect book.

Historia
As one of the few witches in Britain, Mika Moon knows she has to hide her magic, keep her head down, and stay away from other witches so their powers don’t mingle and draw attention. And as an orphan who lost her parents at a young age and was raised by strangers, she’s used to being alone and she follows the rules...with one exception: an online account, where she posts videos "pretending" to be a witch. She thinks no one will take it seriously.

Such an incredible book! I haven’t loved a book this much in a very long time. The trials and tribulations of the main character and all other characters were heart wrenching and character development was heart warming.

Are you smart, scattered, and struggling? You're not alone. Cutting-edge research shows that today's 24/7 wired world and the growing demands of work and family life may simply max out the part of the brain that manages complex tasks. That's especially true for those lacking strong executive skills - the core brain-based abilities needed to maintain focus, meet deadlines, and stay cool under pressure.

Historia
For journalist Dylan Alexander, it began with the discovery of a hidden tomb, thrusting her into the center of a gathering storm of violence and secrets. But nothing is as dangerous as the scarred, lethally seductive man who rises from the shadows to draw her into his world of dark desire and endless night. Fueled by pain and rage over a shattering betrayal, the warrior Rio has pledged his life to the war against the Rogues.

Absolutely fabulous "page turning" series.
Revisado: 06-22-12
Where does Midnight Rising rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It's in my top three favorite ausio bookd of all time. I listen to them again and again an I am usually a one time movie viewer, and read a book one time. I'm telling you...it is sooo worth the listen. The intrigue gets deeper and deeper every book farther you get into the series. Love It!!!!
What did you like best about this story?
There are unexpected turns and you can't wait to see what happend next. You are submerged in this new intruguing world. The women are great. The men are...yummy! Makes for a great story.
What does Hillary Huber bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The narrator is FANTASTIC! Thank you Lara Adrian for giving us an audio voice worthy of your wonderful world. She has a different voice for all the characters and she does an amazing vampire warrior voice. She brings the whole story to life even more so than when you are reading it (which I have).
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Gosh there are several. Of Course the action packed Holy cow! ending and you gotta love when Rio finally starts to heal.
Any additional comments?
The whole series is a must read. I tell all my book lovers to get this series. It's a blast, it's romantic, it's raw, it's exciting, and it is a must read!
