Not unlike a good steak, well done! OK I didn't have to..  but I did anyway. As collosal and crazy as the Black Sabbath saga really is, I just wanted Geezer's story which is very respectful of the gory side of the adventure while keep it moving in so many uncalculated directions. Butler's narration is not only a calm voice amongst the peace signs and Marshall stacks but the listener becomes one with Geezer's own perspective, seeing it all happen in real time. As a long time Black Sabbath fan I found it almost natural that Ozzy Osbourne started off as Teen Village Idiot however Into The Void finds Tony Iommi as the most perplexing band member. Butler's detail of the recording of every album (I mean every album) is itself a welcome surprise and the tell-like-it-is Van Halen tour dialogue is brutally honest. You were probably wondering about that, right? Move this to the top of your list and never say die.   rb

OMG and Simon Kirke!? And sure, why not throw in a select 6 or 7 shows that open with The Big Beat straight into Rock Me Tonight? Slightly faster and no backing vocals, just Billy (apparently I am already seeing this). People would freak out in the best way. Whatever, we move on and it's great seeing Billy move on. Thanks to Eddie and Billy!

I have to start with . . It is no fault of the author however the "child" voicing the intro to Alice Cooper's The Ballad Of Dwight Frye was around 20 at the time. Uncredited, her name is Monica.
Shout It Out Loud produces a detailed, focused account which not only includes specific quotes but some fascinating recent insider interviews from the Destroyer production team. Yeah the book cover stupidly features the non-Ace and Peter lineup (WTF?!?) and fails with a disorienting, meandering waste within the opening chapters, but what we really get is hundreds of fun facts none of us has previously heard along with dozens of hilarious anecdotes. The research and placing of each quote is a great tribute to KISS and Destroyer. The real star is Bob Ezrin who looks back with great affection.
But again... the detail! The new interviews! The Legend.

I look forward to each new episode as your interviews always have such fantastic rhythm, be it Bonzo's Motown Swing (yes, thank you!) or Robert not ever singing "Let's Go To The Gym". Take care

Love Rick and have since reading early interviews as a kid.
But this debut is an astounding account. Rick Wakeman is a natural... I can't say enough!
