This is a beautifully written book. The emotions of the characters are almost tangible, you feel them too. This is not the typical age gap romance. It is a story about finding where you belong even if other people don’t understand why. The narration was nice. Male narrator was just right. Female was good, just very slow. I bumped the speed to 1.2 and it was much better. This is a book I will probably read multiple times. I highly recommend it.

Fascinating

This was extremely interesting. I could not stop listening! Based on other reviews I was nervous about some of the content, but I didn’t find it particularly gory or hard to get through. It was informative about the development of profiling with examples of the work that has been done. The story was also enhanced with funny anecdotes and great narration. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in how the mind works or tv shows like “Criminal Minds”.
I would like to add that it is so sad that many people who dedicate themselves to helping others often suffer incredible loss in their personal lives. I can’t imagine how hard it would be to choose between family obligations and providing your expertise to prevent the suffering of strangers. On the other hand, it would also be devastating to be a family member who always feels second to strangers. It is a heavy burden for both sides.

Crazy!

This book was kind of wild! The length was perfect after listening to two books back to back that were over 24 hours. The story was good, but kind of shallow. There were a few things that were never fully explained, like who was the guy in the dining room and how did he get there. That whole scene was just weird and maybe I missed something. The pace of the story was great, and the narration was wonderful! I would love to read more from this author.

Did not disappoint

I loved Butcher and Blackbird. I loved Leather and Lark even more! I had the date for this release on my calendar and downloaded it immediately. Now I am in love with Fionne and Rose. Just like the other books, things are a little messy at times, funny most of the time, and ultimately, beautiful stories about people who find and struggle to hold onto their soulmates. The Kane brothers are one of my favorite book families. I’m so glad I got to know them, but I’m sad to see the series end. I can’t forget the narrators! They did an amazing job bringing these books to life. I highly recommend listening to this series because of how much the narrators add to the story. Perfection!

I really liked this book. The characters were realistic and the development of their relationship was beautiful. Narration was great, but the male narrator is not the one named. Not sure what happened there.

I am in love with this series! Julian was a wonderful character. The series is very loosely related to various fairy tales and I love how little tidbits of the tales translate into these modern stories. I also like how the “evil” characters are transformed and explained in a new light. Very entertaining stories with amazing narration.

I’m Hooked!

This is the second retelling of Peter Pan I have read, and I have to say this story is a wonderful base to turn into a dark romance. I am excited to read the other books in this series. The narrators for this book were awesome and made it even better! I highly recommend!

Beautiful story

I really enjoyed listening to this book. It was so sad, but also beautiful to see these characters come together to create strong support systems for each other. The story of why Anya was still alive was weak. Also, I didn’t understand why they planned her death the way they did. These men did not hesitate to kill and certainly didn’t need a plan to justify it. The story itself was wonderful, it was just the motivation behind it was not convincing. Of course the narration was superb, I mean, you already knew that when you saw Troy Duran. Overall, I would recommend this book as long as you don’t have triggers concerning children.

What a ride!

This book was incredibly sweet in a very twisted way. I loved all three of the main characters, and their interactions were entertaining. The narrators were perfect. They absolutely added to the story. A lot happened in a short story, so I could definitely read it again and still enjoy it. I highly recommend.
