Abridged

Only disappointed that it skips from 1966 to 1971. I try to avoid abridged editions but maybe I didn’t look closely enough.

Historia
What happens when the President of the United States governs one Tweet at a time? When the elected leader of the free world may not have a firm grasp on the names of government agencies, much less an understanding of their intricate inner-workings? In the days following the 2016 inauguration, government personnel searched for answers that didn’t exist, while White House staff scoured halls for employees who would never be appointed.

Well beneath my expectations for Michael Lewis
Revisado: 10-17-18
I’m a big fan of Lewis’s books and have read four or five before this. The Fifth Risk is good subject matter but feels slap-dash—a collection of interesting articles but lacks a coherent message to be a true book. I also disliked the narrator, who never varied his tone and once mispronounced live (long I) as live (short I).

Historia
A moving coming-of-age story set in the 1900s, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn follows the lives of 11-year-old Francie Nolan, her younger brother Neely, and their parents, Irish immigrants who have settled in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. Johnny Nolan is as loving and fanciful as they come, but he is also often drunk and out of work, unable to find his place in the land of opportunity.

Captivating even for a 57 yr old man
Revisado: 05-06-18
Only complaint—recording has a couple of skips to it, as in a CD, and volume seems to vary from section to section.
