Did not enjoy the book. It was well read, but the story lacking. Typical Palahniuk, long gross out tangents that don't really add much to the story. Similar blue print to much of his other writing, in that he uses gross out details and a twisting plot line to insult/belittle faith and establishment.

FREAKING AWESOME BOOK - BEST AUDIO BOOK SO FAR

I really am not sure where to start - this book - the story, the reading, everything about it is freaking amazing!

It's a gritty story of a very tough man. It's a story of a scared young boy and later man facing and conquering his fears. It's a story of a man chasing and realizing his dreams. It's a treatise on fear and adrenalin affects on a person. By the end of the book you just want to freaking meet this guy.

Just get the damn book already and listen to it. It really is that good. And the narrator ROCKED! Best read book I have listened to.

An honest view of church from a man's perspective

I really liked this book. While I think it was not as bold nor did it go as far as I think it should have, at least it raised an honest point about how church is custom made for women with small children and kryptonite for men.

If you are a Christian man and wonder why you have a hard time getting amped up for church and how to fix it - this book is a great place to start.

Reader was a bit low key for the material.

Boring and dull reading style

A very boring read. A woman who stumbles through numerous bad relationships finally lucks into a great man that fell for her when he could have likely done much better.

Reader is very monotone.

It was free at least.

Complete and utter disappointment

I love zombie/apocalyptic stories, but this is just a waste. The story was weak, characters dull and undeveloped. There is barely any part for the zombies to play in the story at all. And plenty of technical errors to top it off.

If you like zombie stories, try Day by Day Armageddon. Much better story and better performed.

Only upside is there is a story excerpt at the end which is better than the main story.

Pass on this one.

Diary of an attention whoring parasite

Kris Jenner is a master marketer and does have some work ethic, but really has little else to offer. Her entire fortune comes from riding the coat tails of others. She totally screwed over her first husband who gave her any/everything, she used her second husband's accomplishments to build a business on, whored out her entire family to a reality tv show and now is selling a book largely based upon her friend's murder.

Very drawn out - the book could have been much shorter. I also really tired of all the name dropping and vacuous descriptions of everything as either "amazing" or "fabulous".

The narrator did a good job.

Recommend getting from the library if you can instead of lining her pockets.

GREAT BOOK

This was an incredible book. Very inspiring and challenging.

Dave's delivery is funny and raw - he does not deliver in a sophisticated manner - he is real and honest.

This is the best business leadership book I have ever read - and I have read quite a few.

I highly recommend this book if you are unhappy with your current employment condition, looking to start your own business or own your business already.

Very drawn out

This book had some good ideas/concepts in it, but it was very drawn out. The content could have easily been condensed by at least half without losing any of the meaning. I have started listening to Dave Ramysey's Entreleadership book and it is much more entertaining and to the point. Enjoying it much more.

It has a similar theme, but goes deeper in a more interesting way, and Dave has a funny and entertaining delivery.

Worth a listen

I enjoyed the author's straight forward style and honesty. I appreciated that he shared some of his failures and mistakes as well as his successes.

The author's narration I found a bit too laid back, and his view a bit Utopian, but that mindset was a critical part of his success.

A short easy read that is well worth it. You will definitely pick up some good stuff.

Not as good as first installment

I really enjoyed the first Day by Day Armageddon. It kept me interested and a bit on edge as I listened.

This has the same narrator, but somehow it just did not keep me on edge like the first one. The storyline continues and has some interested twists, but it was just missing something.
