Historia
The city-state of Tyr has been freed from a thousand years of slavery to the sorcerer-king, but with change comes chaos and Tyr's triumph may be its death-knell. Almost 20 years after Troy Denning first gave readers a taste of the Dark Sun world, it remains one of the most sought-after settings in the Dungeons and Dragons universe.

Tedious
Revisado: 04-10-23
The story of rikus failing his way to victory through no skill of his own. After how much I enjoyed the first novel this one has been disappointing. There’s no achievement, no character growth, no hero’s journey. It’s just one wrong turn after another mixed with a few completely unbelievable coincidences.

Historia
It’s the end of the 21st century, and Hunter McNeil is your average, ordinary, ex-Army Ranger with superpowers. He’s serving time unjustly in a Supermax for supervillains when a botched prison break puts him in the crosshairs of an Army general who runs the Super-Powered Combatants Corp. Turns out a coordinated strike has put supervillains in charge of every major city in the world, and Hunter is the only hope at restoring order. And so Hunter sets out to do what he does best: kill supervillains. Save the world. And build a harem of smokin’ hot, super-powered women to help him.

Good humor interesting premise wasted
Revisado: 09-05-21
The main character is an egomaniacal male chauvinist pig and all of the female characters are puddle deep vixens that exist only to be comforted and showcase his sexual prowess. I have to assume that the author has some serious insecurities if this is what he believes makes a good main character. I enjoyed the author's humor and I love the premise but I won't read anything else by him just because of his disgusting characters.

Entertaining and terrible
Revisado: 07-22-21
The "logic" of the main character, and all of the characters really, is laughable (to pu it politely). The reasons given for their behaviors are... what is it you humans say? Bullshit. While the story could have been written by a horny chimpanzee in crack, the humor alone makes it worth the listen. I can't call the book good. But I can say it is at times hilarious.

Historia
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Loved it
Revisado: 07-21-21
Rosario does a pretty good job. She doesn't have many different voices but her performance is, well, that of the excellent actress she is. The story itself was extremely enjoyable. I loved all the scientific details.

Rushed conclusion
Revisado: 07-21-21
I felt like the author really didn't know what to do at the end of his story. I enjoyed the first two books much more.

Pretty interesting
Revisado: 11-04-20
It was different and interesting. I wasn't amazed by it. The plot was good but nothing really special. I enjoyed the characters though. I thought the author did a really good job making them unique, even of the reader made them mostly all sound the same. It wasn't too hard to tell who was speaking, bit every now and then I wasn't sure until the author clarified. It was worth a listen and I might pick up some more of the series.

not sure I want to hear the rest the series
Revisado: 10-29-20
The story has potential. There's not really any character development or world building. Relevant world information is mostly provided as needed. A lot of things are skipped and did cause me some confusion. I still don't understand the gauntlets. They shoot energy, that's about all the explanation we get. Overall, it's a pretty shallow experience. I wouldn't call it bad though. It's an average story with the rough makings of an interesting world and undeveloped characters.
The only thing that I found particularly difficult to deal with was the main reader's inability to enunciate any word ending in "ing". His use of compound non-words "hadtuh" and many others was also a point of irritation for me. While that works for dialogue or an inner monologue, that's not how he was using it. I think that's just how he speaks. I also found it odd that he would very rarely properly enunciate an "ing" word and then 3 sentences later say the same word, endin' it without the G. Listenin' tuh him for 10 hours was difficult. I had to take a few breaks.

Historia
They say family always sticks together, but when you're your dad's only lifeline and the whole world - humans, dragons, and gods - wants you dead, "family bonding" takes on a whole new meaning. My name is Opal Yong-ae, and I'm in way over my head. I thought getting rid of my dad's bad luck curse would put things back to normal. Instead, I'm stuck playing caretaker to the Great Dragon of Korea. That wouldn’t be so bad if he wasn't such a jerk, or if every dragon on the planet wasn't out to kill him, or if he was my only problem.

Good but I liked the first 2 better
Revisado: 10-11-20
The whole daddy issue dynamic is not something that I find compelling. So it wasn't as interesting to me as the first two books. That's just personal preference though. I like what a whore for affirmation Opal became. It made her more human to have such an eye-roll inducing character flaw. But it was a bit sudden. She was more about independence in the previous books. Seemed like a sudden change.

Historia
From the Audie-nominated narrator of The Martian. In eleven years' time, a million members of an alien race will arrive at Earth. Years before they enter orbit, their approach will be announced by the flare of a thousand flames in the sky, their ships' huge engines burning hard to slow them from the vast speeds needed to cross interstellar space. These foreboding lights will shine in our night sky like new stars, getting ever brighter until they outshine even the sun, casting ominous shadows and banishing the night until they suddenly blink out.

boring and sleep-inducing
Revisado: 03-24-20
The story is okay. The author puts in a lot extraneous snarky commentary. It's hit and miss, but almost always superfluous. The reader is monotone, fast-speaking and sleep-inducing. Between his poor reading and the slow story, I can't listen to it without dozing off. I gave it a three because it is a good book to fall asleep listening to.
