What a great surprise!!
Revisado: 06-07-16
I really enjoyed this book!! I purchased it because I was fresh out of credits and it was the daily deal. So I figured, why not.
What a great story!!!
I was so pleasantly surprised. My favorite part was when he went into a crispy Cream shop and asked for the Olympic Rings made out of doughnuts. And how everything snowballed from there.
Mr Jiang really hit one concept out of the park. Rejection says more about the rejector, than the rejectee. And shares with us how fear and judgement play such a big roll in how we respond to rejection.
I highly recommend this book!! Inspirational, positive, and just what I need to hear!!👍🏽👍🏽

Lucidly and beautifully written, Peace Is Every Step contains commentaries, meditations, personal anecdotes, and stories from Nhat Hanh's experiences as a peace activist, teacher, and community leader. It begins where the listener already is - in the kitchen, office, driving a car, walking - and shows how deep meditative presence is available now.

I truly enjoyed this book!!! While I do a sitting practice and believe in peace, I do not consider my self a Buddhist. Yet this book, while a bit dated, covers many topics and concerns that are relevant today. It seems we humans have been struggling for awhile!! If this book is read with an open heart and mind. Then philosophy's like Buddhism can open many doors to a peaceful acceptance of many of humanities struggles. Peace!!✌🏽️

I've read many texts and listened to many books on meditation and Buddhism and this one was one of the easiest to understand and very clear in it's message. A great first time listen for someone just starting a meditation practice or learning what Buddhism is all about.

Audie Award, Humor, 2016. In Furiously Happy, number-one New York Times best-selling author Jenny Lawson explores her lifelong battle with mental illness. A hysterical, ridiculous book about crippling depression and anxiety? That sounds like a terrible idea. But terrible ideas are what Jenny does best.

Holy crap!!! I thought I was the only one!!!!
Revisado: 05-24-16
I loved this book, plus I got a bonus chapter!!! In a very honest way, this book lets others know what it's like to be mentally ill. Not the harm others kind of way , but the harm yourself kind of way. I have dealt with depression and anxiety for as long as I can remember. This book puts the nuances and struggles we deal with in a very lighthearted but serious way!! Kudo's to Ms. Lawson!!! Terrific listen!!! I think my wife will laugh her ass off when she reads it!!!

Incredibly insightful!!!! With great narration!!!
Revisado: 05-08-16
Once again Mr. Frans de Waal is opening eyes to the intelligence, character and political nature of animals, including us humans. In spite of our human egos and pre conceptions. The natural world is full of intelligent acts. From chimpanzee politics and social planning to killer whales hunting seals by isolating them. And, the incredible octopus, turning the tables on sharks.
I highly recommend this listen!! It opened my eyes to human short comings when it comes to the question of what intelligence really is!!!
Plus Mr. Sean Runette's narration! As always, is perfect for this type of material!!! He is quite possibly then most versatile narrator out there!!!👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Historia
On opening day of the new baseball season a small model-kit airplane flies down from the stands and buzzes the mound, where a decorated veteran pilot is about to throw out the first ball. The toy plane is the exact replica of the one flown by the war hero. Everyone laughs, thinking it's a prank or a publicity stunt. Until it explodes, killing dozens. Seconds later a swarm of killer drones descend upon the picnicked crowd, each one carrying a powerful bomb. All across the country artificial intelligence drive systems in cars, commuter trains and even fighter planes go out of control.
