Historia
Tessa Templeton has thrived at Oxford University under the tutelage and praise of esteemed classics professor Christopher Eccles. And now, his support is the one thing she can rely on: her job search has yielded nothing, and her devotion to her work has just cost her her boyfriend, Ben. Yet shortly before her thesis defense, Tessa learns that Chris has sabotaged her career-and realizes their relationship is not at all what she believed.

A disbalance of relationship story in an academic setting
Revisado: 02-20-25
I enjoyed the metaphor and the storytelling. But it is always difficult to end your story it seems. I have yet to make up my mind whether I like the ending. But up to that point the story was gripping, although it did have an entrance threshold — you have to care for Latin poets and their translations to continue reading.

A little noir fantasy detective
Revisado: 12-20-24
Great performance by the actor. I thought he suited as the voice of the main character. It’s a suspenseful book, things happening in rapid progression. I was a bit tired, because it was lacking pauses. But overall it was a good noir fantasy detective story.

Slow strat but captivating story
Revisado: 04-10-18
I have been collecing the warhammer 40k miniatures for some time and recently picled up the Dark Imperium miniature set. It is rrally nice to get some context to the miniatures although I would have hoped for a little bit more from the Death Guard side :)
Once I got into it it was hard to stop listening!

predictable, uninspired and cliché
Revisado: 07-03-16
This was my first audio book in a while, and my first WOW book ever, although I have played bot WOW, WC3, HS etc, and really appreciate the world and lore - this book was much less than I hoped for. I have heaed that Christie Golden supposedly is the better of the WOW novel authors, and maybe a courtroom drama is just not her forté? I will try a few other WOW audio books as well to see if this was just "bad luck". The narrator did his job decently- but that is also all. I would have liked there to be a bit more theatre and sound of clashing swords and other elements of the world to create the immersion more compelling... bu sadly nothing of that.
All in all a mediocre audio book, with the WoW lore its only saving grace.
