First published in 1843, it tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a mean and unpleasant man who dislikes people generally and Christmas especially. Perfect narration!

My all time favorite book. And I’ve listened to multiple versions.
Hugh Grant’s narration is fabulous. I love that he didn’t go so overboard with the various voices and inflections as many others often do.

A happily frustrating book.
Revisado: 06-13-20
I cannot begin to say what this book has done for my emotions! I don’t know what I expected it to be, but whatever that was, it wasn’t! It was way, way, way more! An extraordinarily rich story of four very different people whose lives were, nonetheless, inextricably intertwined. I absolutely loved this book!

Artsy mystery!
Revisado: 02-22-20
Anyone who likes cozy mysteries would probably love this! I got it because I had already listen to other books by this author and very much liked them.
I learned some about pottery and enjoyed the North Carolina setting. The surprise ending was particularly fun – although kind of sad.

Revisado: 03-24-18
As always, Mary Higgins Clark does not disappoint! Each story was very engaging. Also, Since it was a series of short stories, the longest being about two hours,it was perfect for a car ride where you would have to get in and out of the car frequently.

I have enjoyed the series tremendously!
Katherine Kellgren's narration is fabulous and keeps you even more interested. I particularly loved this one because I was completely caught off guard by the ending. Often times I can figure out the killer but I was completely shocked by this one!

Revisado: 02-19-17
I became so well acquainted with and fond of the characters in this book by the end that I was truly saddened by the time the book was over.
Despite the humor and sweetness of the book, it had its fair share of intrigue as well making it a fabulous listen.

Historia
From London to Cornwall, then to Italy and France, a short, shabby priest takes on bandits, traitors, and killers. Why is he so successful? The reason is that after years spent in the priesthood, Father Brown knows human nature and is not afraid of its dark side. Thus he understands criminal motivation and how to deal with it. The award-winning Colonial Theatre on the Air has dramatized G. K. Chesterton's Father Brown stories from The Wisdom of Father Brown with a full cast, music score, and sound effects.
