The speakers were pleasant enough to listen to, but ultimately it was a waste of my time. Maybe it's perfect if you want to hear other people saying they are burned out.

I've listened to this about 12 times, and feel like there is something new to focus on each time.

Pleasant to listen to, but I personally didn't get much out of it. Listened to the whole thing twice, just to make sure. Oh well.

Although I disagree with the author on many points, I've listened to this book perhaps 6 times, because I think it had enough good ideas that are worth dwelling on.

This most recent time through the book, the parts I focused on the most were about work/life balance and unconditional love.

He calls my natural balance point, between being too lazy and working too hard, "the path of least resistance." If I'm being true to myself, by staying close to that path, then I won't be getting burnt out, nor kicking myself for poor performance. Those things only pop up when I'm trying too hard to resist my natural path. "The path of least resistance" also makes me think of how rivers were formed. Rivers didn't need permission to take certain shapes, they were just a force of nature. In my life, I have as much authority as that, to do what is right for my life, and neither be overextended nor too stagnant. I have the permission of mother nature, you could say.

About unconditional love, he said it's the best kind to give away, because it benefits both parties and more importantly, it cannot be taken away from you. It is forever. Whereas, the more prevalent type of love can turn sour and lead to disappointments and bad feelings, and the love ends.

I was a dinosaur kid, 30-some years ago. This audiobook was kinda like the nostalgic memories of flipping through vivid picture books depicting dinosaurs alongside fun facts about them, making imagination come alive. The new-to-me facts were nifty and I ate them up. I expect to listen to it again next year.

...over the past year. Very useful stuff. Each time I listen to it, I remember times I said the wrong thing, back when I didn't know better. Unfortunately, I forget some of his tips after awhile. Then it merits a re-listen.

I'm surprised and impressed with the quality of the story and the voice acting and music. This production was so well done. I don't know how they got voice actors that sound like the original cast. It's freaky. The story is obviously a labor of love by an author who pored over details of the classic story, to make this sequel sensibly line up across many points. As the ending got near, I was excited to find out what would happen, instead of relieved that the audiobook would soon be over. I send my gratitude to all who were involved in making this.

Most of it was stuff I've heard before, but the last 30 mins, and especially the last 10 mins, gave me very good food for thought, making me glad I gave this book a try.

Sure, anyone can exert willpower and stop masturbating, but the penalty is having sex dreams that wet the bed. Nothing was said about this.
