Historia
As the day dawns on the fiftieth annual Hunger Games, fear grips the districts of Panem. This year, in honor of the Quarter Quell, twice as many tributes will be taken from their homes. Back in District 12, Haymitch Abernathy is trying not to think too hard about his chances. All he cares about is making it through the day and being with the girl he loves.

The world building and connections to the other books
Revisado: 03-21-25
This story reframes the entire way you think about the hunger games book, single handedly one of the saddest stories she’s written and most heartfelt. If you’re a fan of the hunger games you will find your heart aching over this book, for Haymitch, for the districts.

Historia
It’s been many moons since Ivypool lost her daughter, Bristlefrost, to the Dark Forest, yet Ivypool can’t bear to move on. Even being named Deputy of ThunderClan feels meaningless in her grief. When Whistlepaw has a disturbing vision—one that could spell disaster for all the Clans—a group of cats is selected to go on a quest to investigate. Ivypool is happy to join their mission. Perhaps being away from her daily responsibilities will help her escape the painful memory of Bristlefrost’s death.

Ivypool’s grief
Revisado: 09-16-24
Truly this book was wonderfully written if not only for Ivypool’s grief and how beautifully written it was. If anyone knows grief where it’s left you angry and full of regrets then you’ll find yourself relating so much through Ivypool’s adventure, everything up to the ending was beautifully written and following Ivypool’s emotions through her loss was a journey of itself with a wonderful ending, thoroughly enjoyed reading this book with plenty of tearful moments

Historia
On a cold day deep in the heart of winter, Rowan’s father returns from an ill-fated hunting trip bearing a single, white rose. The rose is followed by the Huntress, a figure out of legend. Tall, cruel, and achingly beautiful, she brings Rowan back with her to a mountain fastness populated solely by the creatures of the hunt. Rowan, who once scorned the villagers for their superstitions, now finds herself at the heart of a curse with roots as deep as the mountains, ruled by an old magic that is as insidious as the touch of the winter rose.

WLW beauty and the beast
Revisado: 10-26-23
Honestly a very pretty and sweet retelling of beauty and the beast but with its own twists and flair, the romance between the main characters was very loving to read!
Definitely adding this book to my top favs!
