Man I hated to only give this two stars. I wanted to learn and definitely picked up some nuggets. However from the start I was doubting what I was hearing. One of the first nuggets was to put an emoji like a heart in your AirBnB title. I tried that and quickly learned that AirBnB stopped allowing that some time ago which immediately made me wonder if what I was learning was still accurate. I listened to this book in early 2025 and later in the book learned that the content was from 2017. Way before Covid and countless changes to the industry. Another issue I had was the chapters on the Audible book did not match what I was hearing. Chapter 9 was chapter 2...just not a good presentation. There were a ton of references that were not Audible friendly. The reader did a good job of describing inline images - but there several "see below" statements that we obviously can't see. I'm hoping there is an updated version coming soon. The author clearly knows his stuff and I will be looking up the website and YouTube channel to see more current info.

I really like the content and have some takeaways, but I’ve heard several abrupt ends. At mid sentence it starts a new chapter. I’m not sure what I’m missing from or how much. Could be better, but then again it was free with Audible subscription.

This book is timeless and has good principles but is extremely hard to listen to. The language is outdated and not easy to follow sometimes. I just found there is a 85 year anniversary edition that sounds like it’s been remade. I wish I had bought that version instead.

Most arrogant book I’ve ever read

The author will be fueled by me calling this an arrogant book. I’m sure he is great in his field…but writing books to push people to be the ultimate “cleaner” is not his best move. Glad he had a part in greatness of others…but took an awful lot of credit. I picked up a few tidbits which is good.
I’m also not a fan of todays NBA which is the focus of his story.
Glad I can say: Done. Next.
