Historia
From the moment Martha and her husband, John, conceived their second child, all hell broke loose. They were a couple obsessed with success. After years of matching IQs and test scores with less driven peers, they had two Harvard degrees apiece and were gunning for more. But the dream had begun to disintegrate. Then, when their unborn son, Adam, was diagnosed with Down syndrome, doctors, advisers, and friends in the Harvard community warned them not to keep the baby.

Wow. I love her writing style.

Expecting Adam is a delightfully written autobiography of an expecting mother who’s life is turned right side up in a world so upside down. No pun intended.
This book reminded me of the our journey with our son. We have a “Adam” with T9 & T18. Yes both. He’s 9 years old in ‘22. Life is a blessing with Trisomy.

Brooke is the perfect older sister. For that reason, Kari and Ashley work hard to make their parents just as proud of them as they are of Brooke. Each girl has her own talents. Brooke is an excellent student. Kari is a great soccer player. Ashley, a talented artist. And they are always there for each other. But when the news comes that Dr. Baxter is moving the family from Ann Arbor to Bloomington, Indiana, and the Baxters need to leave the only home and friends they’ve ever known, no one is happy.

This book was great. It was sweet to hear about the Baxters as children. My son (7) and daughter (5) loved it. They asked me to put it on as soon as we got into the car. They are excited for the next book in the series. Karen is so an amazing writer.

Historia
It's easy for American Christians to forget how Jesus said his followers would actually live, what their new lifestyle would actually look like. They would, he said, leave behind security, money, convenience, even family for him. They would abandon everything for the gospel. They would take up their crosses daily...BUT WHO DO YOU KNOW WHO LIVES LIKE THAT? DO YOU?

Historia
Radio personality and best-selling author Barbara Rainey knows firsthand the challenges newly married couples face. Dismayed by Hollywood depictions of marriage and the seemingly easy solution of divorce, she sees a desperate need for a voice of experience, a mentor who has been there and understands - and can encourage, coach, and care. As her daughters began their married lives, Barbara wanted to share with them, and now you, some of the lessons learned throughout her own marriage as well as those gleaned from years of ministry to couples.

Every wife needs
Revisado: 07-30-16
This book was a great listen and I would recommend it to any wife who wants to better their understanding of being a wife and blessing their husband. Even if you think your marriage is good, it's important to actively seek ways to be better. There are great examples of how we can be and we need biblical truth to get better. Loved this book!
