The first story was terribly frustrating
Revisado: 10-27-19
I got this for free thankfully. I picked it up because Lori and Abby are my two favorite narrators. The first story is narrated by either fielding or Lawrence. Dunno. But although her voice was crazy cute she was dry. The first story was extremely hard to finish. I enjoyed the story for the most part. Until it becomes clear this was written for high school lesbians or something. The sex scenes were only implied, which is I guess fine as long as the story is cute and romantic but nope. The two leads go back and forth never quite communicating their feelings or getting together. When I thought the denouement was occurring, something interrupted them. After the 5th time of the ladies dancing around their feelings I actually literally rolled my eyes. The ending was so abrupt it didn’t even close to make up for the previous few annoying chapters.
Rica was frustrating as hell and any self respecting woman wouldn’t do what she does regardless of the past. And Tara would’ve given up. Sorry it’s not a super good love story.

Historia
Workaholic Erin Ryder was on the fast track to self-destruction. Reeling after her lover walked out on her, she turned to booze and caffeine to make it through each day. After a family intervention, she finds herself on a remote ranch in New Mexico - on womyn’s land - to detox and heal. No cell service, no internet - she’s convinced she won’t last three days, much less for the three-month sentence her father has mandated.

Not for me. Be warned.
Revisado: 10-05-19
Big Gerri Hill fan. I wish there was some kind of warning, this book had to be written for the older fans of her out there. Yes the main characters are 37 and 33, but this book was deathly boring to me. I’m 33. The side characters are all 65 years old and up. Rough.
They talk about farming, food and depressing things 90% of the book. They rehash the incredibly depressing past CONSTANTLY. I’m not joking. The exes, Sarah and Adam are mentioned at least once a chapter.
This book is incredibly slow. It didn’t help that Zanzarellas monotone voice is so slow as well.
The intimate scenes are muted, no overt descriptions etc.
I wish someone else mentioned any of these things. I could’ve saved $20 and 9 hours. Yikes.

Great book
Revisado: 09-13-19
If you’re a “late-bian” as referenced in this book as coming out later in life... this book is for you. The main character is a 44 divorced mother of 2. This is a positive book to read. One of Harpers more innocent stories. Great nonetheless. Angela Dawe is good. Only thing I was a tad bit disappointed in as far as the narration went was I’ve heard Angela Dawe speak with some impeccable accents in other books (specifically her renditions of Lee Winters stories) and I know she can pull off Australian accents. I was surprised she went with typical American English voices instead. Specifically for the main character, who is Australian. Still great narration regardless. Great book. Hopefully this series gets even better from here.
Onto book #2 😃

Historia
Ambitious Daily Sentinel journalist Lauren King is chaffing on LA’s vapid social circuit, reporting on glamorous A-list parties while sparring with her rival - the formidable, icy Catherine Ayers. Ayers is an ex-Washington political correspondent who suffered a humiliating fall from grace, and her acerbic, vicious tongue keeps everyone at bay. Everyone, that is, except knockabout Iowa girl King, who is undaunted and unimpressed and gives as good as she gets.

Stand by for the first hour. Great book.
Revisado: 08-31-19
I am not kidding. This book started pretty slow and I actually glanced at my phone and saw an hour had passed and I still wasn’t invested in the story. I love Lee Winter and my patience definitely paid off. This is one entertaining, witty and clever book. Not my favorite from winter (requiem😍) but definitely great book. I wish this author had a larger inventory. The best in the business for sure.
The narrator is not my favorite but the story is great despite it.
On to the sequel 👌🏽

Good book but...
Revisado: 08-30-19
Tiny Spoilers. Some of the story is definitely cringeworthy. The love story is almost as cringeworthy. I enjoyed the criminal aspect of it but the details are very uncomfortable.
Nicole is pretty awful. Especially at the end. This woman Jake saves her life and she just lets her limp away. Literally. I’m a lesbian and I would never ever let a sexy hero cop leave me. F every single thing else. The love story drags near the end. Completely frustrating. Because I listened to The Target first, I know how it ends. I rolled my eyes multiple times in the last hour. Sorry for the negative comments just be prepared.

Perfection.
Revisado: 08-27-19
This is the best love story I’ve ever listened to. If I read it, would’ve been the best I’ve read. It is a thriller, action movie, lesbian romance all in one fantastic book. If that’s intriguing, get this book ASAP. If crime, mobsters, serial killers, and or lesbians secretly intrigue you (not in the dark sense, in the fascination sense), this book is your dream come true. I’m sitting at 4 minutes remaining and find myself sad it’s over.
Thank you Lee Winter, Anais Ibarra Chase, and Audible for allowing me to indulge in this fantastic book.

Not much to add about this book that hasn’t been said here already. This book is perfection. Every phase of it. Story, narrator, everything.
What I will add is a random thank you to Ms. Winter, audible, amazon, whoever.. for making this book part of the romance package. I rarely use my monthly credit or cash to purchase a book from a new author and or narrator. This book was my first from Lee Winter and Angela Dawe. It was low risk due to my romance package subscription so I gave it a shot. I finished this book in less than 24 hours. I easily purchased another title from Lee Winter on audible. Zero hesitation. I anticipate devouring her entire catalog shortly.

Things are going great for Sutton Kay, or at least they were. Her yoga studio is doing well, she's living with her best friend, and she just got two kittens named Mocha and Cappuccino. Sure, she doesn't have a girlfriend, but her life is full and busy. Then her building is sold, and the new landlord turns out to be the woman putting in a gym downstairs who doesn't seem to understand the concepts "courtesy" and "don't be rude to your tenants".

Not for me.
Revisado: 08-22-19
This book was so dang instalove. The first half the yoga and CrossFit characters bicker and don’t develop well. It’s mostly just yoga chic interacting with her non-binary roommate about the encounters with said crossfitter. The second half is kiss, date, workout, sex, workout, sex, love. The second half covered like 4 days. It’s even discussed how short of time it took to fall in love... in the book They even discuss falling in love prior to even liking each other 🤔. If not for the cussing and (surprising bland) spanking scene I’d say this novel is 100% for young kids.
Chelsea does an awesome job with creating a bunch of characters from the LGBTQI+ spectrum...
On this note, I’m all for inclusivity, but when a narrated book has a character that is referred to as they/them, it confuses me just a tad. And then irks me a little. It’s probably my lesbian self being a little too close minded or too old, but if that bothers you as well, you should be warned over half the book features the character Ze. They are talking and or being referenced throughout.
Not a bad book but in my humble opinion, severely inferior to the Style/Chord books.

This book is awful.
Revisado: 08-04-19
I’m sorry. Spoilers ahead. But trust me. If you’re a well read person in the les romance category stay away.
This book has way too many good reviews all over the internet. I feel it is my duty to be real.
This story is super juvenile. I’m not judging the dorky celebrity/Taylor swift/fanfic angle either. However, if I was a writer for The 100 show, I’d be annoyed this book kind of stole the idea straight up. Just saying. This is straight instalove. The MCs say I love you after 4 days. If that’s not enough... The girl who is mildly autistic is kind of creepy. Codependent. Needy. Not enough for me to believe the biggest star in Hollywood goes gay for her. Sorry. I mean come on. She watches her sleep, like stays up for hours watching her. She also looks at her phone when she’s sleeping. Biggest lesbian stereotype/pet peeve. The sex scenes are ruined because they talk about how the “autistic” chic comes too fast. Like really? I get that may be a symptom of her condition but I’m supposed to believe (and enjoy reading about) a girl can get off from no touching, nothing? And instantly? This book is rough. I’m struggling to finish it but I may actually give up.
Melissa Moran isn’t bad. She talks too fast but not bad.
Save your money. This story is so unbelievable it’s impossible to get into.
