Historia
Beckett: If you’re reading this, well, you know the last-letter drill. You made it. I didn’t. Get off the guilt train, because I know if there was any chance you could have saved me, you would have. I need one thing from you: get out of the army and get to Telluride. My little sister Ella’s raising the twins alone. She’s too independent and won’t accept help easily, but she has lost our grandmother, our parents, and now me. It’s too much for anyone to endure. And here’s the kicker: there’s something else you don’t know that’s tearing her family apart.

Heart Crushing
Revisado: 02-19-25
Get your tissues ready. This book will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions. I fell in love with the story from the start. I mean who doesn't love handwritten letters? The storyline was fabulous and just drew me in. Every page felt all too real. I laughed and I cried. I wasn't expecting the heartbreak that happened. Which made it all the more crushing. Even though it was such a roller coaster ride I highly recommend it.
The narrators: Teddy Hamilton and Jennifer Stark did an amazing job.
This story does involve the death of a child and all the feelings that go with that so be aware of that before reading.

Fabulous Love Story
Revisado: 12-20-24
This was a fabulous love story. I loved the storyline, characters, and all the emotions that played out. Allie the MFC is a professional ballerina who gets injured and returns home to recover. She has a love-hate relationship with her career. There are a lot of expectations and she is just making her way through the day one day at a time. Then there is Hudson the MMC. He is a Coast Guard rescue swimmer. Every time he gets into the water he is risking everything. But he already lost everything 11 years ago when Allie left town. Hudson is there to bring Allie back to herself and help her learn to love again. Even if he has to let her go again, this story makes you feel you know the characters and root for them to work it out.
I listened to this on audio and highly recommend the narrators Teddy Hamilton and Carly Robins. They did a fantastic job.

Excellent!
Revisado: 11-14-24
If you love Jennifer Armentrout of Sarah J. Maas's books this could be your new favorite author.
OMG. This fantasy romance duet novel is fabulous. The world-building is awesome and the characters are great. The gods choose the MFC Kya to go through a trial to prove if she is worthy or not to rule their people. She is strong and vibrant. Then there is the MMC Ryker a lord who has already been through the trials and proven his worth to rule their people. He is obsessive, with shadow powers, and of course hot. This is a fast-paced, action-packed story with magic. This story will keep you reading to the end with ghastly beasts, spirit animals, gods/goddesses, and curses/dark magic. Then you have the cliffhanger.
I also listen to this and highly recommend the narrators Laura Horowitz and Tyler Darby. They did a superb job! I hope they will also be narrating book 2!

Excellant!
Revisado: 05-30-24
I picked this up because I was looking for a great male narrator and Joe Arden came highly recommended. He and Desiree Ketchum did not disappoint in the reading of this book. On a side note if you are highly religious this probably isn't the book for you and read the trigger warnings. There's a whole list.
"Through the nose remember. Just like we practiced."
This book is dark and steamy and I loved every minute of it. Areo is all kinds of messed up and he's out to convert his little doll Briony. The characters were out of this world and the crazy was perfect. Areo the MMC is dominating, possessive, obsessive, and methodical. He brings crazy a whole new meaning. The little blossom Briony the MFC is a sweet little church girl hiding her dark side. She isn't anyone's queen. She's a king all on her own. I loved that she broke Areo down and met him on his side of crazy. This book was so delicious and unhinged that I couldn't stop listening. Way to go Jescie Hall I'm off to check what else you have available to read.

Small Town Romance
Revisado: 05-23-24
OMG! I loved this hometown enemy-to-lovers story. Emmy the MFC was bullied her whole life by her peers and was emotionally abused by her mother Sandra. You really end up hating that woman. Now Emmy is a successful businesswoman out for revenge. Her poor hometown has no idea what she's capable of. Emmy is a lovable character with real-life flaws. Then she has to deal with her contractor Liam the MMC. He is sexy, witty, and willing to break down, Emmy's defenses. He's in it for the long haul. The banter, chemistry, and emotional roller coaster will pull you right in and have you cheering for that happy ending. You will shed a tear and laugh out loud.
I listened to the audio version of this story narrated by Samantha Brentmoor and JF Harding. Oh man... they blew me away. Highly recommend!
Now I'm going to have to check out the other books by Elizabeth O'Roark. She has me hooked!

Revisado: 04-25-24
This is the third book in the 6 book series. I loved that this series is written with the accent of the old ones and Elle really does a fabulous job narrating. I love the world-building and all of the characters in this series. There are times it feels like it dragging but it all comes together in the end. The book makes you fall in love with the characters and want to see what is going to happen.
This is not a quick read at 561 pages or 19 hours and 36 minutes of listening. But well worth it. I loved the story and can't wait to find out what happens in Book 4: The Forbidden Land.
P.S. If you love fantasy, fiction with a great world and characters this could be the book for you. If you haven't tried an audiobook I highly recommend this one. Elle Newlands is an excellent narrator.

Revisado: 04-25-24
I loved this book as much as the other 5. The world-building was incredible and I could truly enjoy all of the characters. This book focuses mainly on Isabeau and everything she had to go through to be a powerful sorceress. I loved everything she went through and the feeling that went along with it. Oh and did I mention that there are dragons? And that Isabeau can change forms. Pretty cool!
I listened to this on Audible. The narrator Elle Newlands did a fantastic job. If you haven't listened to any of her narrations I highly recommend it. I love this entire series and highly recommend it. It's not an overnight read but well worth it.
P.S. If you love a love story, war-torn, epic fantasy series I highly recommend this one. Oh and don't forget there are dragons!

I loved everything about this book. It made me cry and it made me laugh. The world-building was great and the characters were out of this world. The ending left plenty of room for future books. I loved Bryce's humor... "look at my big tough alpha whole". She was a great FMC. I loved that all the females were full of sassy. I also loved that the story kept you reading page after page. You were invested in finding out what was going to happen.
I listened to this on Audible and Elizabeth Evans did not disappoint. She brought the story to life.

Great Story!
Revisado: 04-25-24
Although this is a stand-alone book it would be beneficial to read the Shadowhunter Chronicles first but not required.
This was a great story of adventure and a budding relationship. It was filled with great descriptions and world-building. It had magic, heroics, and love. You will find yourself cheering for the two main characters Magnus Bane and Alec to work out all the troubles in Magnus's past so they can finally live happily ever after or at least finish their vacation together. This was a really great young adult fantasy romance.
Also, the Narrator BD Wong did a wonderful job. All of the many character voices were superb!
