Historia
Thousands of people live in the subway, railroad, and sewage tunnels that form the bowels of New York City. This audiobook is about them, the so-called mole people, living alone and in communities, in subway tunnels, and below subway platforms. It is about how and why people move underground, who they are, and what they have to say about their lives and the "topside" world they've left behind.

intriguing account of NYC's underground homeless
Revisado: 02-26-22
this puts human faces to the homeless and demonstrates how addiction, mental illness and a sometimes broken system forces people into the underground.

Fresh information to get better in life
Revisado: 02-17-22
Refreshing book on how we can all stretch ourselves to enhance creativity and personal success, with a lot of supporting, documented research and people who have used to it achieve greatness. I have read so many books that are regurgitations of the same concepts but this one gave me actionable advice that I will apply in my work and personal life.

Historia
Forget shyness. Forget being the quiet person in the back of the room. There’s nothing wrong with being an introvert, but society has largely confused this term with a real problem that many face: social anxiety. Communicating your authentic self to others is crucial to achieve success and a happy life.

nuggets of wisdom but performance was distracting
Revisado: 01-04-22
if you like to hear the words 'dude', 'like',, 'man' and 'fire'-this is the book for you. The author also mentions several times how he is a successful entrepreneur and has so many followers on his socials. There are some good nuggets of knowledge in here but the delivery is distracting so take small bites if you listen or you will go crazy, like, you know?

Historia
The culture of “safety” and its intolerance of opposing viewpoints has left many young people anxious and unprepared for adult life. Lukianoff and Haidt offer a comprehensive set of reforms that will strengthen young people and institutions, allowing us all to reap the benefits of diversity, including viewpoint diversity. This is a book for anyone who is confused by what’s happening on college campuses today, or has children, or is concerned about the growing inability of Americans to live and work and cooperate across party lines.

thought provoking, everyone should read!

Details how America has learned to feel like every difference of opinion is an assault, and how we can all benefit if we do exercise our minds by listening to opposing opinions as if we were wrong, even when uncomfortable instead of wrapping ourselves in emotional bubblewrap.

Historia
In a sleepy seaside town in Maine, recently widowed Eveleth "Evvie" Drake rarely leaves her large, painfully empty house nearly a year after her husband’s death in a car crash. Everyone in town, even her best friend, Andy, thinks grief keeps her locked inside, and Evvie doesn’t correct them. Meanwhile, in New York City, Dean Tenney, former Major League pitcher and Andy’s childhood best friend, is wrestling with what miserable athletes living out their worst nightmares call the "yips": he can’t throw straight anymore, and, even worse, he can’t figure out why.
