Historia
Finite games, like football or chess, have known players, fixed rules, and a clear endpoint. The winners and losers are easily identified. Infinite games, games with no finish line, like business or politics, or life itself, have players who come and go. The rules of an infinite game are changeable, while infinite games have no defined endpoint. There are no winners or losers - only ahead and behind. The question is, how do we play to succeed in the game we’re in? In this revelatory new audiobook, Simon Sinek offers a framework for leading with an infinite mindset.

Good concepts
Revisado: 02-12-21
the idea that long term thinking makes more sense than trying to get instant gratification is valuable in life, ethics, and business is simple and profound, yet left untried for most in the American culture.

Really good insight
Revisado: 02-03-21
The book had some great points related to the human reaction to shame, guilt, fear, and codependency. When he addresses the religious perspectives, it is more opinion based than fact based. Regardless of this opinion, the point was well taken.

Historia
In 1540, Mexico was declared to be New Spain. With a diverse culture, and great natural resources, it should have prospered like its northern neighbor. But Mexico's history includes political corruption, war, revolution, and grinding poverty. Why has the fate of Mexico been so different than that of the United States?

In Becoming Fluent, Richard Roberts and Roger Kreuz draw on insights from psychology and cognitive science to show that adults can master a foreign language if they bring to bear the skills and knowledge they have honed over a lifetime. Adults shouldn't try to learn as children do, they should learn like adults. Roberts and Kreuz report evidence that adults can learn new languages even more easily than children.

an absolute gem
Revisado: 06-12-20
Randy Travis is one of my biggest heroes. This was like getting a front row seat to hearing about his journey and remembering those moments and where I had a glimpse into his life from the outside looking in. Now, I am honored to hear, as they say, the rest of the story.
