I can't say enough about the way these books make me feel. I'm certain that many, if not most veterans have a similar experience when reading or listening, but I'll just say that it's different, and you can just tell when someone "gets it"... and gets you.

The writing is awesome. Immersive, compelling, and honest. An amazing story, amazingly told, and expertly performed.

A great engagement regardless of who you are.
But I have to say, because I wish someone would have said this for me, in a previous review;
"If you served at any point in your life, especially, but not exclusively in the last 15-20 years, you owe it to yourself to read / listen to all of Galaxy's Edge."
This applies two-fold if you served in an active combat environment.
This may sound insanely corny, but in listening it fills a hole for me, one that only is better filled when I get those all too rare chances to spend time with the old team, who's lives have all moved on, some are the same, some have adapted to their new life, and moved past the lifetime we all lived and died together in (for better or worse).

To be completely honest; My expectations were really high.
I've listened to every single book written by these guys.

I did not go in knowing that the authors had served. but in each and every book I've listened to, their insights were far too good. Their understanding, the authenticity of that understanding were absolutely unmistakable.

The first book of season two, not only holds up to my high expectations, it surpassed them. As with every book in the series you walk away dieing just a little inside knowing the next book is not yet available.
The character development is remarkably good, and yet, and the GE continues, you really get to know the characters, to feel their losses, to understand their pain and their desires.

A+ work once again by Anspach & Cole. They really, truly get it.

Cannot wait for the next titles guys.

Gut Wrenching, Real, Engrossing.

So well written. Awesomely performed. The level of detail doesn't just bring you in, but envelopes you and makes you feel a part of it.
Cannot wait for the rest!

I love Sci-fi. I've listened to, and read a LOT of Sci-fi.
This is GREAT storytelling. Quite well written. Immersive!
There is of course, RC Bray, who is ALWAYS fantastic.
I cannot wait for the next book!

Too short. That's my only complaint.
The dispenser is killing me. I'll suffer again until the next book is released.

Great narration. Outstanding story. Perfectly weaved from the Ember wars.
Moving and compelling story.
The only disappointment is that I have to WAIT for the next book!

Best yet! Bray is characteristically outstanding!

R.C. Bray is my favorite Sci-fi narrator. His performance in this latest book sets a new bar.
Great book! Possibly the best in what has been a very, VERY good series.
Although.... Now, I'm hanging on the edge of my seat! Gah!!!!

Excellent! But, WAY TOO SHORT!

Excellently written, absolutely stellar narration as usual.
For full price, is just way too short, games away loving the story, living the writing, and immersion into the gray story line, but come away feeling like I missed half of the book.
I paid for a full book, where did the other half go?

A tiny bit slow at the beginning, as you don't know where things are going, but that is over pretty quickly and provides the backdrop of information needed to continue to propel the story.
Was a little unsure, but I've Loved it.
