Historia
Louise Manson is the newest student at Highfield Manor, Dublin’s most exclusive private school. It seems nearly perfect: the high arched window alcoves and tall granite pillars, the overspill of lilac at the front gate and the immaculate playing fields, the giggling students, the dusty, oak-lined library, and the dark, festering secret she has come to expose. At first, Lou’s working-class status makes her the consummate outsider, though all that changes when she is befriended by the beautiful and wealthy Shauna Power.

Well written, deftly plotted and interesting characters
Revisado: 06-01-24
Well written, deftly plotted and interesting characters. Atmospheric and 80's Dublin teenage life well captured in this moving novel. Reminds me of Tana French.

Community service clean-up was supposed to be a tedious affair. But, when a young offender stumbles upon a bin bag filled with human remains, a quiet Highland village is thrown into chaos. The investigation leads DCI Jack Logan to a remote and nightmarish cottage, where a forgotten freezer holds a disturbing discovery: a full set of human fingers. As more body parts are uncovered, Logan and his team hunt for a killer with a gruesome obsession for collecting trophies.

Best one yet
Revisado: 07-12-23
I'm really coming to adore this bunch, and I love the new characters: Victor and the Viking. This story was the best by far, funny, poignant, and kept me guessing. Narration is always on point. Can't wait for the next one!

Historia
Just a few years ago, Corie Geller was busting terrorists as an agent for the FBI. But at 35, she traded in her badge for the stability of marriage and motherhood. On Wednesdays, she has lunch with her fellow Shorehaven freelancers at a so-so French restaurant, where she senses that something's off. Pete Delaney, a milquetoast package designer, always shows up early, sits in the same spot (often with a different phone in hand), and keeps one eye on the Jeep he parks in the lot across the street. Corie intuitively feels that Pete is hiding something....

Really enjoyed! Although at times a little repetitive and too much detail, but a fun listen.

Loved the narration and characters. The plot was a little hard to believe and circuitous, but I was drawn in enough to finish and want to read the next.

I will never tire of Bob Hoon, always hilarious, and Berta and Iris and Logan's crew are such a fantastic set of characters, I feel like they are real people. JD Kirk - you are amazing.

Excellent plot, well written and absorbing. Great performance by the author (only miss was her attempt at a Hispanic accent- otherwise nailed the characters). Definitely recommend!
