Historia
Gable's rise to idol stature was swift. He made close to one hundred films in his lifetime and achieved immortalization in the timeless epic, Gone with the Wind. Off-screen, the man who finally won the indomitable Scarlett O’Hara was even more of a lady’s man than his character. He seduced, and, in several cases, married women of immense wealth to sustain his extravagant lifestyle and further his career.

The Golden Age of Hollywood...Warts and ALL
Revisado: 01-16-24
This book sheds light on the behavior of our big screen heroes. No wonder why so many died at such a young age. Totally enjoyed this voyeuristic, behind the curtain journey.

Historia
Wallace Stegner's uniquely American classic centers on Lyman Ward, a noted historian who relates a fictionalized biography of his pioneer grandparents at a time when he has become estranged from his own family. Through a combination of research, memory, and exaggeration, Ward voices ideas concerning the relationship between history and the present, art and life, parents and children, and husbands and wives.

Historia
In 1963 Colin Fletcher became the first man to walk the length of Grand canyon, below the Rim. It began with a dream, when he and a friend detoured from a cross-country trip to take a hurried look at the great natural wonder. Standing on the Rim, surrounded by the profound and almost mystical silence, Fletcher knew that something had happened to the way he looked at things. He also knew that the Canyon, with its depths and distances, cliffs, buttes, and hanging terraces, beckoned to him, calling him on a journey that would challenge both his body and his mind.

Revisado: 09-05-22
I have read this book several times and will do so throughout my life. I can't remember how many times I've been to the Grand Canyon ,both North and South rims, and into her beautiful depths. I've recommended this wonderful book to many, even to some Park Rangers at the Canyon.

The Miracle of a Time Machine Exists!
Revisado: 05-23-22
I guess I've loved history most of my life. During the 1950s there was a TV show called "You Are There", relating historical events on the small black and white screen as if you were watching these occur in real time. This Podcast takes that idea and turbocharges it to amazing heights. With factual details, realistic sound effects and a wonderful narrator it uses as much time as needed to bring these stories to life. This Podcast should be used as an accredited course for college and universities as I'm sure nobody would ever cut class. Thank you for bringing this excellence to life.

Historia
The era of radio drama was a time when storytelling was a purely auditory experience, and "Broadway Is My Beat" was a shining example of this art form. Running on CBS from 1949 to 1954, this radio crime drama painted a vivid picture of New York City's underbelly, with Times Square Detective Danny Clover at the center of the action. The show began with Anthony Ross voicing Detective Clover, bringing to life the gritty streets of New York during its first three months. However, it was Larry Thor who would become synonymous with the role for the remainder of the series. The atmospheric music by ...
