Historia
In the age of Tinder, Hinge, or any other dating app that matches you with randos, the dating game has grown complex and confusing. Cue the Betches. First we helped you win at basically everything, and now we're going to help you win the most important battle a betch can face. Maybe you're a Delusional Dater who needs to get in touch with reality (seriously, he's just not that f***ing into you), or perhaps you're a TGF who needs to stop being so desperate and start playing the game.

Look, maybe you're a nice girl, but we're guessing you're more like us or you probably wouldn't have downloaded this audiobook. But being nice is just not the way to get what you want. And this audiobook is about getting what you want. Not in a finding happiness, giving back to the world, being grateful for what you have sort of way. But in a ruling your world, being the most desired, powerful badass in the room way, so you can come out on top of any situation: guys, career, friends, enemies, whatever.

Shamelessly lame. i now can understand WHY THEY DONT EVEN LIST THEIR NAMES AS THE AUTHORS. Stop trying to wax irreverent and emancipated. Nice try , trying to make" Betch " happen. I was on your side because I like to think sisterhood is global. You guys are just triffling white snarky entitles cowards who wanna be coolee than thou. youre not. It's like a cheerleaders -sorority with tons less integrity spouting their modernity and quoting Bethany Frankel. i'm embarrassed I gave this a try. you want legit funny from females? I recommend Chelsea Handler , Lisa Lampanelli, Margaret Cho, Tina Fey The late goddess of feminism that was such a bass ass she was in PLAYBOY with monthly smack downs aimed at chauvinists.my idol. Cynthia Heimel. You guys are just Lame AF. i'm ashamed to know this stuff got on Audible but I will defend to my death your right to open your mouths and remove all doubt in regards to. your intellectual prowess. And oromoting anorexia to be accepted by your girlfriends or shallow men? Really irresponsable. WHAT WAS YOUR POINT? BETCH PLEASE!

Historia
Meggie Meyer, an anxiety-ridden debut author, can’t bear to face her upcoming book tour, but she can’t give up on her writing career just as it’s about to really begin. She comes up with a plan that’s so crazy, it just might work: She hires an actress to impersonate her for the two-week stint. Sloan Buchanan, the spunky aspiring actress, jumps at the opportunity to use her intensive acting method to sink into this unusual role, and the line between her and her character quickly begins to blur. And Rachel Drake, the no-nonsense detective, is left to put the pieces together.

You may "know" Jenny Slate from her Netflix special, Stage Fright, as the creator of Marcel the Shell, or as the star of Obvious Child. But you don't really know Jenny Slate until you get bonked on the head by her absolutely singular writing style. To see the world through Jenny's eyes is to see it as though for the first time, shimmering with strangeness and possibility.

Revisado: 02-28-20
Not going to even TRY to describe her style. She is one of a kind. This woman writes like Georgia O'Keefe painted. She's frighteningly awesome. Observations put so cleverly. She is such a great narrator. I want to say right away something I know to be factual: You have NEVER been on a ride like this before. This is new.
Her style is FUN, odd, bold, & refreshing. She paints a world with her words that I found so charming, it stings. I'm humbled by this book. I got list in it. I see my world with more gratefu and am so relieved that feminism can also be FUN, and sexy and cool. Weird indeed. l was touched, you will be touched too. listened to it twice . Her style is very Heinleinesque/ Stranger In a Strange Land. So squirrelly so wild. So full of contagious love. In your hands, you hold the secret to transforming your life. Big words? Yes, but this is a plan that has already proven itself with millions of people around the world. In a Sunday-morning sermon, Will told his congregation he wanted to make the world a complaint-free zone and, to prove he was serious, he passed out purple bracelets to each church member and offered them a challenge. "If you catch yourself complaining, take the bracelet and move it to the other wrist."

ASTOUNDINGLY APPLICABLE!!!!!!!!
Revisado: 11-29-19
Every single sentient human will benefit from this book. The only requirement we need to have going in to this is humility. being able to recognize ourselves humbly and focus on ourselves throughout this is key. I cringed but I'm glad I recognized my own automatic contributions. We ALL can benefit from this. If you're honest with yourself, you'll cringe too. Recognize yourself in the examples, youre in them, believe me. Dig deep. This book illustratse how unconsciously incompetent we are in so many areas. It's overflowing with insight. Nothing mystical, nothing sappy, or complex. This is down to earth , instantly enlightening and IMMEDIATELY applicable! I rarely have this sort of fervor when I review books.
I sincerely suggest you start 2020 with a new outlook. GET THIS BOOK! Don't stop there. READ AND reread this book. Nothing to lose and tons to gain.
Most of us are guilty of breeding negativity. Most of us don't acknowledge it in ourselves, yet we're REAL quick to point it out in others.
This book will change your outlook. No dogma, no preaching, just real talk. Narrator doesnt annoy or distract. This book is a game changer. It is a clearly written guide on how to BE the light we wish to see in others.
Namaste, Will Bowen

People always have had trouble throwing things away. Magazines, newspapers, old clothes.... They think what if I need them one day? I don't want to risk throwing something out that might be valuable or appreciate with time. And those large piles of stuff keep growing, so it's difficult to move around, and there is no end in sight. This is why you need to consider decluttering and stop hoarding, saving, and collecting things.

GoRUBY! YOU NAILED IT!
Revisado: 02-06-19
REALTALK-- This book is awesome. It's one to keep near your journals, etiquette books, and your I Ching translations. She is balanced, funny, humble and refreshingly feisty. I adore Chelsea Handler, Cynthia Heimel and Kelly Cutrone because their command of language is so sharp and styllized and theres an NYC unapologetic tone that I crave. Too often women phrase statement with a questioning intonation, and this gets on my last nerve at times. That's why I love the above authors and now Ruby. These women tell it like it is. Why cower? They say what they mean and it's so well said , it brings a smile. This is a book full of applicable, sage advice from an edgy stylish, well informed writer. It's packed insights from some one in tune with the world around them. Her suggestions come from hard-earned experience. She shares her mistakes. She dares to put herself out there. She's like that friend you wish you had in every city. That female confidant you trust to no end, because they've been there and want only the best for you. I don't consider it easy to translate such complex & esoteric ideas into layman's terms without sounding a little loopy, preachy, or hipster-elite. Many writers don't seem at all sane when they go to write about these topics. They take new age to levels that are hard to relate to. It's rare to find enthusiasts who maintain a sane tone while still VERY in touch with a lot of what's out there in spiritual circles. (It's a thin line.) Ruby nailed it with finesse. I found this charming , funny , and easy to get into. I loved it from beginning to end. It's hard not to gush. In the end I was left with a Sisterhood -is -Global sentiment. She quoted a Yogi in one part:
" ...Travel light, live light, spread light, be the light ..."
Ruby, you are being the light.

While many of us have thought of being a good listener being like a sponge that accurately absorbs what the other person is saying, instead, what these findings show is that good listeners are like trampolines. They are someone you can bounce ideas off of - and rather than absorbing your ideas and energy, they amplify, energize, and clarify your thinking. They make you feel better not merely passively absorbing, but by actively supporting.

This is well worth the time to listen, it makes very clear hoe preventable some of these cyber crimes really are. This sound advice really isn't hard to follow-it's just diligently applied common sense. Yet, most people think a quick unprotected online task outside a VPN won't harm them. We know better. Thanks for the useful information!
