Historia
A successful LA artist, Roman Velasco appears to have everything he could possibly want - money, women, fame. Only Grace Moore, his reluctant, newly hired personal assistant, knows how little he truly has. The demons of Roman's past seem to echo through the halls of his empty mansion and out across his breathtaking Topanga Canyon view. But Grace doesn't know how her boss secretly wrestles with those demons: by tagging buildings as the Bird, a notorious but unidentified graffiti artist - an alter ego that could destroy his career and land him in prison.

Shallow and disappointing
Revisado: 08-19-24
Started as a good story before it turned into shallow, low quality romantic story. To make it even worse they include religion in distorted way. Listening to this book I found hidden messages that made me wonder if the writer is one of those Zionist Christian who always include the occupation state of Israel in their work, referring to them as holy and to Palestinian as ter*or*sts. Although, I liked religious love story before such as "Redeeming Love" and others, this one is rubbish and I highly do NOT recommend it.

Historia
Gaza Writes Back: Short Stories from Young Writers in Gaza, Palestine, edited by Refaat Alareer, is a compelling collection of short stories from 15 young writers in Gaza, members of a generation that has suffered immensely under Israel's siege and blockade. Their experiences, especially during and following Israel's 2008-2009 offensive known as Operation Cast Lead, have fundamentally impacted their lives and their writing.

Powerful. Sad and beautiful at the same time.
Revisado: 05-02-24
I started this book after Dr. Rafaat was killed and learned about the Palestinians struggle against the evil Israeli occupation. These stories are based on true events that no human should endure, it breaks my heart how Palestinians have been suffering alone. Makes me angry at my hypocritical and arrogant government to use my tax money to support ethnic cleansing and genocide.

Weak story. Waste of time
Revisado: 02-13-23
It’s about two people supposedly adults and professional who can’t act civil, scream bad words at each other at one minute and then they think sexually about each other the next minute! It seems that they both have bipolar disorder. The story not only very weak, but it also gives degrading situations/ comments for women. Like when “Mike” ordered her not to go sailing and when she supposedly stood up to him, he carried her to the boat and forced her to take him with her, and she was fine with it because she thinking of how he drove her crazy bla bla bla. Pathetic!
I do not know the writer but her ideas of professionalism, feminism and romance are missed up.
I didn’t finish it, I couldn’t but I lasted for more than half, just because I wanted to leave a review.

Flat and boring
Revisado: 08-24-22
This story contains no event, the only one interesting thing happened was when Florence moved to her grandpa’s house. Nothing happened after that, very flat story, I even skipped chapters and still nothing changed, this is like the soap opera shows my grandma used to watch! I didn’t even finish the book, I still have 4 hours left but I can’t waste my time anymore
