An endearing and timely reminder that people indeed can change. This enduring classical tale never fails to bring a smile and Hugh Grant’s performance was stellar. This one may become a new tradition at our house.

Beautifully performed tale had me rooting for Jane from the very beginning. Richly-developed characters making choices with lasting impact on their lives. Beautiful to see Jane chart her course of growth and confidence and independence, always colored by an exemplary, loving, forgiving character.

This masterfully written true story held the rapt attention of our multi-age family. For weeks we treasured our after-dinner reading time - taking on more clean-up tasks in the kitchen just to extend listening time. What a convicting example in a culture that whines over our first-world problems. Profound discussion fodder for table, homeschool, and our Classical Conversations class.

Subtle and thought-provoking, this classic Lewis work lets us examine our own world with new eyes of wonder. His brilliant word play cuts to the heart of things as he imagines a world where innocence still reigns. A favorite with our family and high school classes.

Loved reading this with my 11-y-o daughter. It integrated well with our ancient history homeschool studies, and with Classical Conversations Cycle 1. It spurred insightful discussions about standing up to injustice and cultural distinctives of Egyptian culture of that day contrasted with our modern values. Very engaging performance.

A compelling story of how fear and prejudice affect our perspective. Thought provoking and enlightening.
