Historia
Drawing from intensive on-the-ground reporting in Israel, Gaza and Lebanon, Murray presents a compelling case that places the latest violence in its proper historical context. He takes listeners on a harrowing journey through the aftermath of the 7th October massacre. Deeply reasoned, clear-eyed and grounded in fact, On Democracies and Death Cults is a gripping and essential read for all who seek to understand the complexities of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and its implications for the future of democracy – and for the world itself.

Superb in every way. Clear-eyed, fully informed and wise. We wonder why normally sane, compassionate people around us lost sight of what they know of history, human nature, and reality to support an act of insane barbarism that would normally be condemned globally by every civilised nation and person. Douglas Murray lays it all out in the way only he can.

Historia
Since he was a small boy, Mosab Hassan Yousef has had an inside view of the deadly terrorist group Hamas. The oldest son of Sheikh Hassan Yousef, a founding member of Hamas and its most popular leader, young Mosab assisted his father for years in his political activities while being groomed to assume his legacy, politics, status...and power. But everything changed when Mosab turned away from terror and violence and embraced instead the teachings of another famous Middle East leader.

Revisado: 12-01-24
I’m not good at writing reviews, but this book was eye opening, surprising, and very real. I learned a lot, and to me it seems that men seeking power, driven by anger or hate cannot ever achieve peace. I hope one day they change as this man did. He’s achieved so much since he wrote this book, and he has a strong voice, heard internationally, that that none can ignore. I wish him, his family and his friends, true lasting peace in their lifetime.

Historia
Serving as a powerful follow-up to Jordan Peterson’s book 12 Rules for Life, Dr. Gad Saad unpacks what is really happening in progressive safe zones, why we need to be paying more attention to these trends, and what we must do to stop the spread of dangerous thinking. A professor at Concordia University who has witnessed this troubling epidemic firsthand, Dr. Saad dissects a multitude of these concerning forces (corrupt thought patterns, belief systems, attitudes, etc.) that have given rise to a stifling political correctness in our society.

Listened to this on a long car trip with my teenaged son. He asked questions, we discussed. Thoroughly enjoyed it together. All that needs to be said.

Historia
Dr. Jordan B. Peterson sits down in person with Mosab Hassan Yousef. They discuss the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, the chaos created by Yasser Arafat, how Palestine has globalized their radical cause, Mosabs time as a prisoner, what set him free, and the far-from-paved road going forward. Mosab Hassan Yousef (born in 1978) is a Palestinian ex-militant who defected to Israel in 1997 where he worked as an undercover agent for the Shin Bet until he moved to the United States in 2007. Yousef was considered the Shin Bet's most reliable source in the Hamas leadership, earning himself the ...

This is a study of how intellectuals as a class affect modern societies by shaping the climate of opinion in which official policies develop, on issues ranging from economics to law to war and peace. You will hear a withering and clear-eyed critique about (but not for) intellectuals that explores their impact on public opinion, policy, and society at large.

Excellent, reliable & sound exposition on the disconnect between ordinary people (no less educated/bright) and “intellectuals”, and the harm they often seem to impose on societies.

Historia
Totalitarianism is not a coincidence and does not form in a vacuum. It arises from a collective psychosis that has followed a predictable script throughout history. In The Psychology of Totalitarianism, world-renowned Professor of Clinical Psychology Mattias Desmet deconstructs the societal conditions that allow this collective psychosis to take hold. By looking at our current situation and identifying the phenomenon of “mass formation”—a type of collective hypnosis—he clearly illustrates how close we are to surrendering to totalitarian regimes.

Everything you need to know.
Revisado: 12-21-16
Based on research and soundly rooted in common sense, this book covers all aspects of ADHD. Symptoms, its effect on quality of life, diagnosis, treatment and the various "whys" of it all. It is straight forward, enlightening and comforting. There are many, many stories which will help you realise you are not alone.
I would recommend this book to anyone who suspects they or someone they care for has ADHD; however it's those who have been recently diagnosed who would benefit the most.
Above all, this book demonstrates that the behaviours associated with any "type" of ADHD are involuntary, the cause being totally beyond conscious control. I'd you want to understand yourself, or someone else with ADHD, and if you want to improve your life, then this book is the starting point.
