However...
Revisado: 11-10-23
However, blah blah, luckily, blah blah blah...
I wish I had the word doc draft so I could do a count of how many times he uses "however", "luckily" and other repetitious garbage. I think I could cut a couple hours off of the length of the book if I deleted these words.
I started doing 10 push-ups every time I heard the word "however", however I was quickly exhausted, luckily, as it was my game and my rules, I decided to subtract 10 push-ups every time I could guess when "however" was going to surface, however, since I was too accurate, I began to bank a credit of push-ups, luckily I had the ability to change the rules of the game, however...
I thought the writer would have developed better writing skills by the second book, but no luck. I'm angry because I think it could be a great series, but after getting half the way through the second book I can't listen any longer. A 4.9 rating is ridiculous!

It was a day like any other when suddenly the world changed. The universe reached a threshold humanity didn’t even know existed, and it was time to finally be integrated into the vast multiverse. A place where power is the only thing anyone can truly rely on.

Fails to rise to potential
Revisado: 11-02-23
This could have been a good book but the writing was really bad. His method to describe action was so repetitious - blah, blah, blah, will happen, however blah, blah, blah, could happen instead - over and over again. I listened to the entire book and was ready to toss my phone several times.
"The characters, system and world try to be interesting, however, the author crafts every sentence to include a conflicting event, and so the characters, system and world failed to meet their potential... yet, the perseverance of an OP character makes the journey seem possible, even though he stops regularly to contemplate how his whole life was devastated by some terrible archery related injury (really?), however, the world now is giving him the opportunity to be a better man, but, he struggles with the idea of killing, even though everyone is trying to kill him, so crafting a potion to only kill the bad people might work, however, what if a good person accidentally consumes the potion..."
Okay so that's not actually from the book, but 70 percent of his writing seems like fill, so I'm hoping he gets paid by the number of words and isn't really this bad.

Historia
Today, Tutankhamen is the most famous of the ancient Egyptian pharaohs. After his death at the age of nineteen, "King Tut" was forgotten from history, until the discovery of his tomb in 1922 propelled him to worldwide fame. But the circumstances of his death remain shrouded in mystery. This fascinating, painstakingly researched book is the first to explore in depth the questionable circumstances of Tutankhamen's demise—and to present a shocking scenario of betrayal, ambition, and murder.

Terrible!
Revisado: 09-23-23
The content is probably good but you can't help being distracted by the narrator's gasping after every few sentences. I diligently tried to ignore the poor production but finally gave up. Bob Brier needs to scrap this garbage and narrate himself!
