Historia
In a desperate bid to escape the bounty on his head, assassin Girton Club-Foot has returned to Maniyadoc, but the kingdom he knew no longer exists. Three kings battle for supremacy in a land ravaged by war-and one of them is his old friend Rufra. With threats inside and outside the war encampment, Girton races to find the traitor behind an assassination plot. But his magic can no longer be contained and Girton may not be able to save even himself. It's assassin versus assassin for the life of a king.

It's alright.. but not to my tastes..
Revisado: 06-18-22
The first book I found the main character frustrating and very lacking when it came to being an assassin.. the second book is more akin to a military campaign rather than a book about assassins.. is this a series about assassins actually doing their jobs or more like supposed assassins being detectives and only looking for people that have hidden motives all the time? I've come to the conclusion that this series has very little to do with assassins actually doing their jobs and more about well trained fighters doing detective work, fantasy politics and military campaigns.. the lack of assassins doing the work of assassination is enough for me to drop the series. The narrator does a great job, but the story is just not for me, these characters are not assassins.

Historia
Girton Club-foot has no family and a crippled leg and is apprenticed to the best assassin in the land. He's learning the art of taking lives, but his latest mission tasks him with a far more difficult challenge - to save a life. Someone is trying to kill the heir to the throne, and it is up to Girton to uncover the traitor and prevent the prince's murder. Age of Assassins is the first in an epic new trilogy set in a world ravaged by magic, featuring a cast of assassins, knights, ambitious noblemen, and fools.

Good story, but occasionally frustrating..
Revisado: 06-12-22
The main character is a boy that's been raised as an assassin most of his young life and I understand that he is still developing, but damn.. his naiveté and innocence is absolutely frustrating more often than not.. especially when he is raised in an occupation as dangerous and surrounded by death as an assassin. The story is good though, if you can bear the strangeness of youth, innocence and naiveté in an apprentice assassin.. the conflicting attributes always left me feeling un-immersed whenever their glaring features flared up in the main character.. but hopefully he develops more as the story goes on..

Historia
Say hello to the new and improved Clyde Hatchett...who's only a level-four nothing. He's on a (seemingly never-ending) quest to get back to his life in Glaton. And now, all that stands in his way are the Empire-hating Carchedonians, a death cult, and a traitorous party member. Oh, and a mythical city that very probably doesn't exist.

Minor Dissapointment
Revisado: 05-26-22
I finished the book and the overall consensus I feel on it.. is that nothing really happens to progress the story. I find myself a little dissapointed with this book. It feels like you could actually skip it and you wouldn't have missed anything major occuring. Hopefully next one would be better.

Absolutely Riveting Story!
Revisado: 09-13-19
The narrators in this story were all amazing and performed so well. The story has kind of a cliche start at first, but becomes so fascinating as the story progresses. The world building is beautiful and we'll thought out. The characters are absolutely amazing and we'll fleshed out. As you learn more about the main characters, their histories, goals and desires you become invested in every one of the main cast characters. Wonderful story. I would highly recommend reading it.
