Historia
FBI Agent Atlee Pine's life was never the same after her twin sister Mercy was kidnapped - and likely killed - 30 years ago. After a lifetime of torturous uncertainty, Atlee's unresolved anger finally gets the better of her on the job, and she finds she has to deal with the demons of her past if she wants to remain with the FBI. Atlee and her assistant head back to Atlee's rural hometown to see what they can uncover about the traumatic night Mercy was taken and Pine was almost killed. But soon after Atlee begins her investigation, a local woman is found ritualistically murdered.

Great series and narration..
Revisado: 02-25-23
I love Atlee Pine! She doesn't take shit from anyone and can kick some serious ass. This book continues with the search for the truth about what happened to her twin Mercy AND helping with a case of who their newest serial killer was. It was a shocker to find out who it was.
There was no romance and the F-bomb was used 3 times.
As for the narration: Love, love, loved the two narrators, Brittany Pressley and Kyf Brewer, each doing the male and female voices instead of taking turns doing both voices. I hate that. Especially when a female does the man's voice and he sounds just like a girl. The only reason I decided on the series is because I knew Brittany Pressley did a great job on men's voices.

When Victor is called to meet with an old friend who ultimately betrayed him, what he thought was an ambush is in fact a plea for help. This time, Victor's job is not to kill but to protect. Unfortunately, locating Gisele is his first mistake - because someone is watching his every move.

This one kinda stunk!
Revisado: 02-05-23
This was NOT one of my favorites from the Victor series. Not because of anything Victor did but because of Gisele! I couldn't stand that girl after about 3 chapters. Every time she opened her mouth I liked her less and less. At one point I got to where I was hoping the bad guys would accomplish their objective and catch and kill her. However, I was glad to see the end of Nieve. What a POS she was.
No romance and the F-bomb was used 63 times, but never by Victor. Not one swearword used by him, ever!
As for the narration: Rob Shapiro does a great job on the men's voices but I need to be told when a woman is speaking because she sounded exactly like a man.

Good story but narrator could be better..
Revisado: 02-02-23
Well, when Victor assassinated an assassin he almost bit off more than he could chew. But he made it out, again, and killed all the really bad guys, because what they hired him to do would definitely kill him, without a doubt.
No romance and the F-bomb was used 3 times. AND that's totally ridiculous! A book full of killers would be swearing like drunken sailors and yet there's very little swearing going on. Victor's stories are good but not as good as the Dewey Andreas series. Dewey's books are a lot more realistic when bad guys are talking. However, I will read all the Victor the Assassin's books.
As for the narration: The subtraction of a star in each book is due to the narrator not even trying to change his voice when a woman is talking. All the women sound just like a man. Rob Shapiro was excellent with the male voices but not good at all with the women.

Great, but not going to be a series.
Revisado: 01-24-23
I'm assuming that there will be no more books "starring" Rob Tacoma, since this one was written in 2019 and that was the beginning and end of it. That's a shame BUT as long as you write more books about Dewey and Rob is in them I'm good with that.
This was a good story about the CIA going after the Odessa Mafia after they had killed 2 important members of the government. And they also had to find a traitor senator.
No romance and the F-bomb was used 60 times.
As for the narration: Ari Fliakos is better than Peter Hermann but not as good as Jay Snyder, who only narrated book #7.

The End..
Revisado: 01-21-23
This was a little disappointing because Dewey wasn't in it too much but it was still a wonderful book. It was #9 and I'll miss Dewey Andreas a lot. With 2,000 Five star reviews and 32 One star reviews it should tell you something. Reviewers who gave any of Dewey's book 1 or 2 stars should NOT read these kinds of books. Maybe they should try romance novels. That way there they would find less violence and swearing. Just sayin'
No romance and the F-bomb was used 50 times.
As for the narration: I disagree with a lot of reviewers who said Peter Hermann was better than Ari Fliakos. He wasn't, IMO! His emotions were perfect and his voices were spot-on, especially the female voices. He wasn't better than Jay Snyder, however, who read book 7 only.

Dewey Andreas, still reeling from recent revelations about his own past, is ready to retire from the CIA. But he's the only available agent with the skills to carry out the CIA's plan to stop North Korea, which has made a secret nuclear deal with Iran. The plan is to inject a singular designer poison into the head of the North Korean military and in exchange for the nuclear plans provide him with the one existing dose of the antidote. But it goes awry when Dewey manages to inject a small amount of the poison into himself.

Revisado: 01-19-23
OMG! One star from a couple of reviewers because a dog was killed?? WTH, this is a BOOK, a story from an authors imagination not the afternoon NEWS! Some reviewers are simply stupid!
This was a great story about Dewey having to get into North Korea when he was accidently poked with a bit of poison that was meant for a general in Macau, who was there to play Blackjack. Now Dewey had to sneak into North Korea to get the antidote that was hidden in that country AND kill the Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un, before he could launch a nuclear bomb at the United States.
This was an awesome book.
No romance and the F-bomb was used 36 times.
As for the narration: Ari Fliakos was pretty good but none of the narrators were as good as Jay Snyder, book 7.`

Wonderful series..
Revisado: 01-18-23
Another good book by Michael Anderle. You can't help but love Dante and Nasreen. They have one adventure after another and they never get a rest period before something else comes along. The team just gotten back from fighting Nightwalkers and NightMutts and were preparing to celebrate when they got a message on the monitor that usually showed the weather but now showed a message that they'd pissed off an angry god. Go figure!
No romance and the F-bomb was used 8 times.
As for the narration: Michael Braun does a good job with all the voices BUT just once when someone laughs I wish MB would too. There's so much bad stuff going on that when someone laughs it looks like the narrator would too, I mean once or twice wouldn't be so bad, would it? ALL narrators SHOULD learn how to laugh, whisper, yell, and any other emotion it comes across OR they really can't call themselves a good all-around narrator. Voices aren't everything.

Revisado: 01-15-23
No matter what all these silly reviewers say this was a cute little story. It taught the kid, Toby, a lesson in ditching your security.
No romance and no swearing.
As for the narration: If the voices of the characters in the 8th book are anything like the 7.5 short story I'm not going to like it. Dewey's voice is nondescript. He won't stand out like he did in the other books.

Revisado: 01-14-23
I was just reading the 1 and 2 star reviews and they were so stupid. It's amazing how many complain that it's unrealistic, hard to believe, and tell people NOT to read these books. Really? This series is from the authors imagination, no todays headlines. If you want REAL you should be reading NON-fiction.
This was about a lot of government people who planned to kill the president and the vice president and take over America and proceed to kill ALL Muslims. Well, that right there tells you that they were all insane, especially Bruner. A suicide bomber killed his 12 year old daughter, years and years ago, and he obsessed over it his whole life until he actually wanted all Muslims dead. And then found some other bad guys with the same thought and volunteered to help. They were all nuts. THAT shows it came from the authors mind.
No sex and the F-bomb was used 68 times.
My only complaint is Daisy! Jessica hasn't been dead all that long and he was supposed to have loved her. I mean, they were supposed to get married. It's like it didn't take long for him to get over his fiancé.
As for the narration: I was anxiously awaiting for book 7 because Jay Snyder was narrating and I love him. Peter Hermann, who did most of the first 6 books was pretty good but Dewey's voice was too gruff and old sounding. Now I'll see how Ari Fliakos will do on the last two books.

Wow! Talk about bloody! And most were kids at Colombia College. Terrorist took over the school and just started killing the kids and the parents that brought them there. It was brutal but SOME Muslims are just like they were portrayed. The best part of the book was when Dewey, Katie, Tacoma and Smith finally got into the building and killed the seven terrorists that were left. The WORST of the book was the epilogue. WTH was up with that?
No sex and the F-bomb was used 77 times.
As for the narration: Peter Hermann was an excellent narrator for these books but I've really been looking forward to book 7. Jay Snyder is an awesome narrator and he reads Trap the Devil.
