Revisado: 03-16-25
I made mobile attempts to listen to the series.
Each time I end up regretting it it's a lot of Is angry horrible people as plot device.
Is a lot of description of children being tortured.
Is a lot of angry tone dialogue.
I have to give this series up as a complete loss.

Historia
The boy has lived his whole life trapped within a book-choked chamber older than empires and larger than cities. The girl has been plucked from the outskirts of civilization to be trained as a librarian, studying the mysteries of the great library at the heart of her kingdom. They were never supposed to meet. But in the library, they did. Their stories spiral around each other, across worlds and time. This is a tale of truth and lies and hearts, and the blurring of one into another.

So in the end I didn't really care about the characters
Revisado: 01-29-25
Started out jumbled A fiction Of people
Eventually landed on two main stories.
The story of the young girl started to catch my attention. In the end it jumped around and threw time so much and got so convoluted And contrived that I didn't care how it ended. I didn't care what happened and I didn't care about the characters.

Revisado: 02-27-24
I've read the series through several times and I've loved it. And everyone ever recommended to it too has left it. Also you're not even sure if it's fantasy or science fiction until you finish.
An absolute delight of a story.

I listen to the first 3 books and it got a little Better by the third PERIOD so I Decided to spend the whopping $5 on the fourth book PERIOD but I'm sick of stupid characters that Don't Grow and that argue unreasonably PERIOD these books are just not developing worth a d*** I Don't Care about any of the characters. I'm giving up halfway through the fourth book. And I will not return to this series and maybe not even this author over again. I feel like i've wasted thirty seven hours of my life

Revisado: 01-28-24
So it's not absolutely awful.
Fairly predictable writing. Stilted conversational style of the characters. A lot of teenaged anxed and repressed sexual desire. Not a great deal of character development. And the amount of arguing between characters and in a repetitive and predictable manner. Needlessly
Rutal is brutal world.
It's are you? Are you worried worried abattle battle battle battle battle battle battle at shrill high volume. Is anxed and argue. Is battle battle battle. Betrayal betrayal backstab wine complain argue battle battle battle.

One of the best things I read in quite some time
Revisado: 01-24-24
This book is probably even a little better than the first book in the series, which was amazing.Lots of surprises, lots of thrills, fast pace, lots of character development, believable, dialogue. and kind of thought-provoking in many ways. Period makes you wonder about the skull and bone society and the other old academic societies that we've all heard about.
This is a book. I recommend very highly and have been recommending it since I first listen to it and this is the second time i've listened to it.

Very unsatisfying ending
Revisado: 01-14-24
This is the fourth book in the series.
The best I could say is it's not bad. It's reasonably entertaining. But with the ending being so unsatisfied. I don't know if there's a fifth book even for free. What I consider reading it. And to be honest, if the whole series hadn't been free. I do not believe I would've listened to more than one book.
Again, there's worse things out there. But between whiny characters and a A lot of self recrimination in her monologue. It's been a tough series to get through

I really have trouble with the idea that the 2 kids left the third kid. A nine year old girl all alone on her own and left.
This seems so not normal human behavior.

I've enjoyed the series so far. till this book
Revisado: 12-11-23
So in this series it seems like 70% of the characters are bad. Guys and every bad guy is snide and wants to monologue and monologue and monologue.
This book has that, but now it's a slow court. Intrigue book.
It's boring and it doesn't work.
The book moves so slow you could skip a multiple chapters and know exactly what's going on. Two chapters later.
