As someone who is AAPI I appreciate how this book told an authentic story without making Asian Americans and Taiwanese some kind of education tool. This book seamlessly weaves together cultures without being overbearing or obvious. The online app date Alexa has for example— I think many AAPI women have experience this. Also the theme of “not being enough”. Well done!

This is the first book in awhile that I felt had complex, fascinating characters and could keep the momentum of the story through the entire work. Highly recommend!

I really wanted to love this book since it has such good reviews and there are throngs of Colleen Hoover fans out there. However, the male narration was so creepy it made my skin crawl and the story itself was so slow I found myself losing interest.

I've read all of Kevin Kwan's books, and this one is as equally funny and entertaining as the first two. Of course, they're all kind of silly but entertaining nonetheless. (I see many parallels between the book and my real life as an Asian American woman!) The narrator really brings the story to life.

The Silence That Speaks Audiolibro Por Andrea Kane arte de portada

By far the best FI book in the series!

After bing listening to the whole Forensic Instincts series over the holidays, this one is by far the best, story-wise and based on performance.

While the first two had a dull male narrator and the third had the worst female narrator I've ever listened to (that's saying a lot since I've been a platinum member for years now) Hillary Huber was a nice mix of conversational and steady.

Some critiques of the other books include how Claire's psychic abilities make the storyline unbelievable, and you don't get that with this installment. Just enough Claire. The character development is also more advanced, as if Andrea Kane's writing has matured.

Highly recommended!

I listen to a lot of audio books but have never felt compelled to write a review until now. This title was so entertaining and well written and narrated, I spent extra time just sitting in my car at the supermarket listening!

The writing is tight and clever, the plot unexpected, and unique. By far the most suspenseful and exciting assassin novel I've listened to. I highly recommend this book for anyone who likes the genre, and likes that Kill Bill style whimsy.

I've listened/read this entire series, a love January LaVoy. However, maybe it's a combination of writing and performance but the exchanges:/dialogue between Lindsay and her husband are so cheesy and fluffy sounding. It's almost cringeworthy! I also think the story line in this one was a bit predictable.
