A good story with a lot of deeper meaning/lessons. Narration was good too; the words really evoked the proper emotion.

If you love love stories, you’ll love this one
Revisado: 02-27-25
The main characters in this story are very likable and relatable. I also like that they are pretty direct in their approach. The story itself runs the typical course of a love story but if that’s your thing (as it is mine), you’ll love it nonetheless.

I cried so many times
Revisado: 02-25-25
Okay, so the story is very predictable but it’s so well written that you’re pulled in and super invested from chapter one. The narration was chef’s kiss. I literally found myself yelling at these characters like I would a good movie. This was my first read by this author and I’m definitely going to read more. As a working mom, I still finished this book in two days. If other works are written this well, I’ll be a reader and super fan of Jane Igharo forever!!

Historia
Two little girls stand with their heads bowed in my living room. I’m told they’re my granddaughters. Daisy is nine, and Alice seven. Daisy is the spitting image of her mother. This is the first time I’ve met them since my daughter and I fell out after she married that waste of space, Vince. They’ve come to live with me because their mother — my daughter — was murdered. In her own home while they slept close by. I think Vince killed her. But the police can’t prove it. I’ve always known he was no good. He treated my daughter like dirt. I said he’d cheat on her — but she wouldn’t listen.

A most unexpected end
Revisado: 02-19-25
It took me a little bit to get into this one. Even then it wasn’t totally captivating to the point I couldn’t put it down but it is overall a good read/listen. I admit, there were a few things about the ending I just didn’t see coming which was the highlight for me.

I’ve loved listening to mistletoe murders 1, 2, and 3. The stories are engaging with adequate twists and turns but the long running plot line between main characters really draws you in and makes it all so relatable.

The story was annoying. So were the characters. The ending was anticlimactic. 🤷🏾♀️ I kept waiting for the good part of the story but it never came.

Glad I stuck in there!
Revisado: 05-20-24
I’m not fond of the narrator’s voice/tone/cadence, and the story started off pretty slowly. But when it got good, it was good. I did predict the ending but the last half of the book was still good storytelling. Overall, I liked it and will continue the series.

I thought I knew…
Revisado: 03-09-24
Just a few chapters into this book I thought I had predicted 90% of the ending. However, I wanted to see how it all worked out. About 2 hours til the end, everything changed! By the actual end, there had been so many surprises. I did put it on 1.2x speed though. It was so necessary in the beginning especially.
