the narrator took a bit of time to get into the groove, but once there this book in engaging and vivid. A lot of sadness and heartbreak. I will definitely cry the next time I listen to this book.

a Sci Fi with very little knowledge

all surface level drama with very little understanding of... all the concepts it's playing with. That can be fine but it basically a "who dun it" where the detective is blindly shooting in the dark, everyone is accusing everyone with the smallest evidence. at the end, tha MC waxes poeticly like she deserves to and we have no ideas of what they do is a success. this will be the last time I let audible recommend a book to me.

wonderful writing and a great narration.

though it's a vary "small" story revolving around a single modest character, it's also where all the charm of this novel comes from. I was engaged with the writing from begining to end, which seems to be a hard thing to do nowadays.

Writing of a YA novel, with explicit love scenes.

I like listening to YA novels, no hate to them but the explicit removal of the ages along with the way the characters were written made me a bit uncomfortable when listening to the sex scenes. The two main character can't go a sentence without being horny toward each other, which only further make it feel like we are in the brains of some puberty hyper teens. And most egregious of all is the fact that the romance didn't feel convincing. It got really boring really fast.

Overall the story is fine, predictable and cliché, nothing that makes it stand out among its peers, but an entertaining listen.

Narrator: I have never heard as many throat noises in an audio book in my life. This is stuff that needed to be edited out, especially at the beginning.

What an underwhelming end for a fantastic start.
we get it being humble is the best trait any human on earth can have. But the characters almost seem like they are making fun of the reader on how "humble/ignorant" they seem of their own power to do ANYTHING! No growth with the characters, no climax to the story, everything just works out when the characters put forth the smallest amount of energy, why? Because the gods willed it.

Terrible sounding, Meh stories

Only got half way through. The first story is not what I would call sci fi at all, more like historical fiction. The aduio on all the stories where different levels of bad. One of the better stories was read by the author, dead pan and lifeless. Such a drag for what would have been great
