Real. Honest. Amazing.
Revisado: 06-28-15
A great look into the mind of Elon Musk. Like most geniuses he is not, nice is not perfect but he is driven and his story is worth knowing.

Historia
From grade school to graduate school, from the poorest public institutions to the most affluent private ones, our educational system is failing students. In his provocative new book, cognitive scientist and best-selling author Roger Schank argues that class size, lack of parental involvement, and other commonly cited factors have nothing to do with why students are not learning. The culprit is a system of subject-based instruction and the solution is cognitive-based learning. This groundbreaking book defines what it would mean to teach thinking.

This isn't a book, it's a brain dump
Revisado: 11-18-14
This book is brilliant so long as you can get past the horrible reading/voice and assuming you can keep up and connect the wealth of knowledge and information being tossed at you rapid-fire.

Why do some products get more word of mouth than others? Why does some online content go viral? Word of mouth makes products, ideas, and behaviors catch on. It's more influential than advertising and far more effective. Can you create word of mouth for your product or idea? According to Berger, you can. Whether you operate a neighborhood restaurant, a corporation with hundreds of employees, or are running for a local office for the first time, the steps that can help your product or idea become viral are the same.

A very good book with good information
Revisado: 03-20-13
This is everything I hoped it would be. The information is solid and the presentation is very well done. If I have any issues it's that I didn't finish the book feeling like I had a great grasp on the techniques he talks about in the book. I'd love to see a PDF with some of it outlined like they have for other books. Just some cheat sheets and bullet points would be fine.

Worth a read
Revisado: 02-20-12
I don't know that I agree with everything Ferriss covers in this book but he does give you plenty of inspiration and staring points to find your own body hacks and it offers a perspective shift from the common myths and methods that most people follow. You'll have to pick and choose what you care to absorb from this book, but you'll certainly have some good take-aways by the time you're down with it.

Brilliant book that doesn't dumb it down
Revisado: 02-20-12
This book is powerful and inspiring. The information is presented scientifically with very understandable examples and facts. You many need to learn a few new medical terms but at the end of the book you'll have a new outlook on exercise and be inspired to do something about it. If you're looking for a personal trainer approach to this subject, you've got the wrong book. But, if you're looking for a fact filled tour through the brain and how exercise enhances your brain, you've got the best book out there.

Redundant and repetative
Revisado: 02-20-12
I had high hopes for this book but found it to be a collection of short stories that the author would then suggest you tell to others by saying "I am reminded of a story..." and then just repeat the story. That's all well and fine the first 3 times... but I couldn't bare anymore of the formulaic and redundant pattern. No real structure being revealed here.

If you are an apple person you'll love this book. With so much being made of Steve Jobs lately this book really goes give you access to the madness and genius of the many and his company. There are plenty of take-aways in the book but one of my favorites was this line. All apple products are created equal, some more equal than others."
