Historia
In AD 66, nationalist and religious revolutionaries in Judaea led a ferocious revolt of the Jewish people against the authority of mighty Rome, culminating in the greatest upheaval and savagery the world had known up to that time. By the end of the conflict seven years later, over one million Jews had perished and tens of thousands were sold into slavery. Until the Holocaust, it remained the greatest tragedy ever endured by a people. How had this once prosperous region been laid low, and by what process did its fratricidal feuds take it down a slippery slope to utter annihilation? Fortunately for us, there was an eyewitness.

Take me back in time...2000 years ago
Revisado: 07-22-24
if you ever wanted to go into a time machine, and travel 2000 years ago to Jerusalem, now is your chance. I personally believe God sparred Joseph's, allowed him to be captured and allowed him to write this book for future generations.
What most people do not I'll is that the book of daniel 9:24-27, specifically verse 26, foretold the events Josephus is writing about. Josephus is our eyewitness to these events. His life was miraculous ly spared by Rome. I imagine an angel preserving him, he also prophesied that Vespation would be Emperor, so when that came to pass, Vespation freed him.
I really want to thank Audible for making this available...it was a 22 hour treat!!
I could not give this book a higher recommendation. look into the 70 Weeks of Daniel to learn more

Historia
The Second World Wars examines how combat unfolded in the air, at sea, and on land to show how distinct conflicts among disparate combatants coalesced into one interconnected global war. Drawing on 3,000 years of military history, Victor Davis Hanson argues that despite its novel industrial barbarity, neither the war's origins nor its geography were unusual. Nor was its ultimate outcome surprising. The Axis powers were well prepared to win limited border conflicts, but once they blundered into global war, they had no hope of victory.

Powerful presentation of WW2 Components
Revisado: 05-22-24
This book was 2nd level of understanding WW2, it breaks down the Components of the war and compares them, such as political leaders, aircraft, geography, naval, etc... This is my 3rd, ww2 book, so it allowed me to understand the 2nd level versus just the battles and events in a chronological order.

Historia
Drawing on previously unpublished eyewitness accounts, prizewinning historian Donald L. Miller has written what critics are calling one of the most powerful accounts of warfare ever published. Here are the horror and heroism of World War II in the words of the men who fought it, the journalists who covered it, and the civilians who were caught in its fury. Miller gives us an up-close, deeply personal view of a war that was more savagely fought - and whose outcome was in greater doubt - than one might imagine. This is the war that Americans on the home front would have read about had they had access to previously censored testimony.

Revelation of the reality of ww2
Revisado: 04-24-24
Never being in a war, it's so easy to take your freedom and life for granted. This book showed me the price of what I have taken for granted. I want to personally thank all the veterans of ww2 for their sacrifice for our liberty. This book should be mandatory reading in high school for 3 reasons.
1. We need to grasp what the reality of war.
2. we need to know the price of our freedom.
3. we need to understand how God has blessed the United States.

Historia
It was to be the war to end all wars, and it began at 11:15 on the morning of June 28, 1914, in an outpost of the Austro-Hungarian Empire called Sarajevo. It would officially end nearly five years later. Unofficially, however, it has never ended: Many of the horrors we live with today are rooted in the First World War. The Great War left millions of civilians and soldiers maimed or dead. It also saw the creation of new technologies of destruction: tanks, planes, and submarines; machine guns and field artillery; poison gas and chemical warfare.

Historia
With commanding skill, Thomas R. Martin tells the remarkable and dramatic story of how a tiny, poor, and threatened settlement grew to become, during its height, the dominant power in the Mediterranean world for 500 years. Encompassing the period from Rome's founding in the eighth century BC through Justinian's rule in the sixth century AD, he offers a distinctive perspective on the Romans and their civilization by employing fundamental Roman values as a lens through which to view both their rise and spectacular fall.

Historia
The Roman Republic was one of the most remarkable achievements in the history of civilization. After its founding in 509 BCE, the Romans refused to allow a single leader to seize control of the state and grab absolute power. The Roman commitment to cooperative government and peaceful transfers of power was unmatched in the history of the ancient world. But by the year 133 BCE, the republican system was unable to cope with the vast empire Rome now ruled.

Great 2 hour listen, New perspective on coffee
Revisado: 03-14-21
Michael did a great job in this short and entertaining listen. I did realize coffee shop had such a long and important history in the west. Before there was the Lloyd's of London, there was Lloyd coffee shop..wow, great fact, among many others.
Maybe the coffee plant is cultivating the baby humans for its takeover of the world.
