As a singer, songwriter, and current college student, listening to these words has changed the way I view my writing. I’m excited to see how my writing evolves after listening to this book. I will be revisiting this book often.

One of the most enjoyable audiobooks I’ve ever experienced

I really enjoy romance novels. But I often ask why there always has to be a happy ending. As much as I love reading/hearing about them, my real life dating experience hasn’t come even close. (Insert side eye) Being the ever optimist person that I am, I continue to read them, secretly hoping for a similar outcome.

But this particular novel took me on journey in an unexpected way. I laughed out loud, cried, I cheered, and even said some of the lines with the characters as if we’d been friends for so long we could finish each other’s sentences.

I also enjoyed the inside look into the world of audiobook narration and the fandom that comes along with it. I had no idea! Now I’ll be searching the internet to join in these conversations.

I related to this book on so many levels, it’s way too much to type. But I will say that I appreciate every person & every experience necessary for this book to become a reality. I am inspired beyond words. Thank you!

This book couldn’t have come to me at a more perfect time. Excellence lives in every single word & delivered in the most effective way that only Eric Thomas can do. I highly recommend this book if you just need to get out your comfort zone and take action.

Absolutely brilliant!!

For me, this is by far, the BEST audio book I've ever heard. From the very first word spoken until the last, I anxiously looked forward to what was about to be said next. I felt as if Miles Davis himself was sitting across the table from me sharing his story. As a singer and songwriter by profession, Miles' story pleasantly and unexpectedly lit a new kind of fire within me. I started this book a day and a half ago and didn't want to put it down! Now that I'm done, I will continue to listen repeatedly as a reference. I truly feel like my life & creative process will never be the same because of it. ❤️

I've always had admiration for jazz vocalists and musicians and secretly wished I could be that kid that snuck into Birdland or the Savoy just to soak it all in. Listening to this book gave me that experience & there are no words to describe how awesome that feels. A sincere thank you to each and every person who had a part in making this book a reality and much respect for protecting the integrity of Miles Davis' story, in his own words, so that we all have a chance to know his TRUTH.
