Good but caricature of pre-Darwinian thought
Revisado: 08-09-19
I only give this 3 stars due to certain phrases where the author says or implies a certain modern triumphalist development of science into the 20th century. This can too easily give the reader the impression that there was no such thing as science before Darwin and that the Medieval view was based on theological superstition. Such is hardly the case. Read Albertus Magnus, Roger Bacon, or even Avicenna. There was extensive biological thought prior to Darwin that didn’t import a God of the gaps.
