Historia
Finite games, like football or chess, have known players, fixed rules, and a clear endpoint. The winners and losers are easily identified. Infinite games, games with no finish line, like business or politics, or life itself, have players who come and go. The rules of an infinite game are changeable, while infinite games have no defined endpoint. There are no winners or losers - only ahead and behind. The question is, how do we play to succeed in the game we’re in? In this revelatory new audiobook, Simon Sinek offers a framework for leading with an infinite mindset.

Great message... A little critical and out of context as well.

This book put words to something I have always done. Live and work with an infinite mindset. A mindset of continuous improvement is the ultimate form of leadership.
There are people in this world that live for the finite. They work and spend and die. The infinite minded leader builds a legacy. Something bigger than them.
I had a FEW issues with his examples however.
1. He used Milton Friedman as an example of a finite thinker by taking him out of context and declaring he was in favor of some slash and burn, no holds barred capitalism. Capitalism isn’t slash and burn nor brutal.
Capitalism, in its truest sense, IS INFINITE THINKING. Capitalism supports the efforts of building companies on strong, long term foundations. Why? Because that is good business. Apple, Disney, Walmart (for a while) all embody true capitalism.
While pharmaceutical companies looking to charge as much as possible for a drug while a government upholds its monopoly is NOT capitalism.
Corporatism and bureaucratic organizations that internally compete for attention and bury advancements is NOT capitalism.
Sucking every dollar out of a customer to a company’s own detriment is NOT capitalism.
True capitalism considers such things. True capitalism creates win-win arrangements between customers and companies. Arrangements where EVERYONE is better off thereafter.
Of course companies lose sight of this often. I still wouldn’t blame this on capitalism. I would blame it on poor leadership.
2. Jack Welch got burned a bit here too. Jack Welch is more than just a finite leader as portrayed here. He is (was) also an an advocate for sincerity, honesty and candor. Radical candor that rallies everyone to understand the common cause.
Honesty isn’t finite. Honesty is a culture a lot of companies should adopt and reflects a lot of what Sinek was implying when discussing the Shell oil rig and safety improvements from trust and understanding of fellow workers.
All in all... I read 52 books per year. This would have been the best book I have ever read without some of the “out of context” opinions.

Historia
Dave Ramsey shares Biblical wisdom on the legacy we build with our wealth. What does the Bible really say about money? About wealth? How much does God expect you to give to others? How does wealth affect your friendships, marriage, and children? How much is "enough"? There’s a lot of bad information in our culture today about wealth - and the wealthy. Worse, there’s a growing backlash in America against our most successful neighbors, but why?

Worthwhile read for the upper class. Fantastic.
Revisado: 10-25-18
Most of us know what biblical stewardship entails. Ramsey goes in deep to examine the way we manage money. I recommend for anyone that has built wealth or is in the process of starting a business that could be bigger than your average mom and pop type operation. Wealth is out there for people that provide value to the economy. We are called to be the best we can be. This books helps in that endeavor.

Big fan of Ray Dalio. Skip around though. No need to go nuts and listen to every word.

Was happy to hear from a more humble hedge fund guy like his.
It’s definitely worth a read, but it won’t go on my bookshelf as a classic.
