This is the second Peter FitzSimons book I have listened to. I wasn't disappointed. This is a masterful writing of a subject that is so important to be remembered. I was spellbound for days listening to Mr. FitzSimons book.

really a good historical fiction

As usual Cornwell has come through. I am listening to all of his Sharpe novels for the second time. I particularly liked Sharpe's Fury.
It is a great story with a superb narrator. I have had fun reading and looking at battle maps of the actual Napolianic battles and following where Sharpe and his riflemen we're.
superb! And a lot of fun listening to this amazing tale.

A brilliant work from Mr. Bernard Cornwell

This is one of my favorite books written by Bernard Cornwell. I still thank the day I picked up one of his novels and started my happy path through his work. Once again I am starting my journey through Mr. Cornwell's Sharpe novels. I love ALL his novels.
The narration by Frederick Davidson is superb.

I just happened along this wonderful book. I wanted something to read and was browsing Audible. I found this short facinating book which gave me a view of D Day June 6th 1944 which I realized I have been missing. I've listened to a number of fascinating books from the view of individual German soldiers during WWII. I am always struck by the horrible inhumane conditions brought onto ordinary people by their terrible leaders in pursuit of their monstrous goals. The brave resolute actions of normal human beings being manipulated by so called leaders always drives home the waste of war. Such wonderful people. my heart goes out to them. May the people who decided to waste their lives in such a brutal faction for such ludicrous reasons be damned for all time.

This was a fun set of books to listen to. Adam Barr is a really good story teller and the Author rocks!The books seemed to get better and better as I made my way through the series. it was great fun hearing of Simon's, Luke's and Indigo's adventures with their friends.
